We will be staying at WDW in November. I've considered spending a day at Universal. We've seen the Universal in California. Would you recommend doing both parks or just the ride park (Island of Adventure)? We have a dd that's 10 but does not like thrill rides. So want to consider that in the whole picture.
Any help would be great. Does universal do hopper tickets? Also what are crowd levels like the week of Thanksgiving (Sunday or Monday)?
Thanks for any helpful advice. :)

I recommend you go to the Universal Orlando website and see what is in each park since both have thrill rides and not-so-thrilling ones then decide for yourself. There is a link in another thread in this forum for a Dreams Unlimited special, $109 for a park hopper ticket and transportation from Disney, essentially making the transportation free.

The closer you get to Thanksgiving the more crowded it will be so Sunday would probably be your best choice. Monday won't be much different.

Yes, there is a hopper ticket, and yes it's worth going to both parks even if you have been to Universal Hollywood. Universal Studios in California is quite different from the theme park in Florida. In California, it's a real working studio where many well known movies and television shows have filmed and are currently filming. For that reason, it's really quite small in comparison to the Florida parks since most of the property is used for filming. The Florida park is a regular theme park and has some studios, but that is not the emphasis since Orlando is not exactly Hollywood when it comes to the movie industry. Both the Studios and IOA have plenty of rides. The only things that are the same between the two parks are the Simpsons ride and Shrek. Jurassic Park is similar, but has some differences, as is the Mummy ride. Hollywood has the tram, which is unlike anything in Florida. Florida has more rides at both the studios and IOA and everything is within walking distance (similar to Disneyland/DCA/and Dowtown Disney in California).
