We are getting ready to book of first ever cruise 11/11/07 .

What I need to know is, if we decide to cancel, will we get all of our money back and up until what point do I have to cancel and get a full refund?

Also, when booking through Dreams Unlimited can anyone tell me when the initial deposit is due and when final payment is due?

As far as transfers are concerned.....

We are probably going to either go for the gold and get a limo or do a one way Budget car rental for getting to the port.

When we come back we are going to stay a few nights at a DVC. How does the Disney Cruise bus system work with that? If we book through DVC for our hotel and Dreams Unlimited for our cruise.

As far as room assignments .....

We are looking at a Catagory 4 room. Once we book, how soon will we know what room we got?

Since this is our first cruise and I don't know how well we are all going to take to sea life, is being closer to the middle of the ship best?

If we were to request mid-ship how do we word our request?

I think that's all for now. Thanks for taking the time to read and maybe answer our questions.

Well, I can't help you with the DVC info -- sorry about that.

I have booked all 4 of my DC's with Dreams. $200 per person is due at booking, totally refundable until the final balance is due -- I think 75 days from sailing. To get a specific room/location you need to book pretty early. I booked August 2005 for March 2006 and got exactly what I asked for. I have been midship, aft and forward -- I prefer midship but wasn't bother by the other to tell you the truth. I've had Category 5, deck 7 -- my fav with verandah.

Limo -- great. I've seen lots of great reveiws for Happy Limo. We have always rented from Budget and been satisfied. Convenient and on time for us.

Hope this is helpful.

Most of your questions are probably best answered by your DU representative. But yes, you can request a specific area of the ship (and specific cabin) and you can get your room number when you book. You will get your request as long as it is still available. Your deposit is typically due at the time of booking and the remainder is due 75 days before you sail. You can get a full refund up until the time your final payment is due (except there are some differences to these rules if you book CAT. 1 thru 3).

Personally, I think mid ship is best. Convenient to everything. Front isn't bad either. Aft, I felt alot of vibration from the engines and or rutters. But this is a very personal opinion. Lots of people love the Aft cabins.

HTH!
