LOTS of questiions about Polynesian Princess Suite

Hi, I'm trying to plan our vacation this summer .... and what a time it's becoming... with everyone having a different opinion of where we should stay.

We usually stay at the LVC Polynesian ... and enjoy it there. But this is our 25th anniversary 'family' celebration trip and we want to do something just a little different. We have five children ... the oldest two are 23 and 19 and will be getting their own rooms with friends. They usually stay at a Polynesian garden view room.

Then there's me and DH, and our three younger children ages 6, 7, 8 .... we're thinking of staying at the Princess Suite at the Polynesian. Here's some questions that I can't seem to get exact answers from searching tikiman's site, ourlaughing place, etc.

1. Does the parlor of the princess suite have two daybeds or just one? Also, does the suite have two tvs? One in the bedroom and one in the parlor? Our thinking here is that our smaller ones can occassionally camp out in that room and we could have a little privacy. They like doing that type of thing since that are so small still.

2. Is there a separate check-in in the Tonga bldg? Or do you check-in at Hawaii?

3. What are the concierge offerings at the Tonga bldg? Also, is there any view from the lounge at the TOnga bldg, like that in Hawaii .... is there a large screen tv in the TOnga bldg lounge?

4. The bathroom looks significantly bigger than a regular LVC room... is it?

5. Is there a CLEAR view of the lagoon and castle from the balcony (i.e. no trees)? Is there a balcony for both the parlor and the bedroom?

6. Anything else special about the princess suite compared to a LVC room?

Thanks in advance for helping to plan this special event!

HI, Thanks ... I've searched tikiman's site for these specific questions ... but couldn't find the answers. I love his site, btw.

Thanks again.

Anyone ever stay in the princess suite.

It doesn't appear after reading tikiman's site, that either of the princess suites are a very good lagoon view. They face the marina and the castle seems very far away.

We have never stayed in Tonga but I think the view of the castle would be great. It is from the Hawaii longhouse and Tonga is not much farther back relatively speaking. You can tell from Tikiman's picture that the castle is framed very nicely.

Lastly, the trees at MK that block the view somewhat in Tikiman's picture have since been trimmed. You can see more of the castle but the trees still block out the other "stuff" at the MK leaving that very magical view of the castle.

I think the princess suite would be awesome! Tonga is so close to the GCH too, very convenient to just get breakfast and hop on the monorail.
