lots of limited editions at the park

I was wondering if anyone knows the reason for the strangest thing happening..
In the last few days...at magic kingdom .and mgm...
I have been able to find a lot of limited edition pins on cm lanyards.
In fact..I got 2 wholes sets of the hm Halloween...
a lot of these pins are 500 and under...
I have never seen this before..and wonder if there is a huge sale somewhere in an outlet or something...
The last time i saw anything remotely like it..was in March,
when the cast member store had a bunch of nice pins for 50. cents and a buck..
and the cm lanyards were flooded with em.
So..does anyone know why?

They probaly just released the Halloween CM pins when you were there so there was "a fresh crop to pick"

I just looked at em..as your answer makes sense..and they are not cm exclusives..and are 3D pins....and limited 2000.
The other set that was plentiful...is the Donald and the Chipmunks ear hats.

I think it is due to this being the 10 year anniversary of pin trading. I read somewhere that they were releasing more LE pins to commemorate.

You may be right..they did release a lot of new LEs..
but..I was surprised that they would be plentiful on CM lanyards....
But..maybe that's the reason.

I concur. Pin trading has been FANTASTIC this week at the parks. Lots of LE and CM pins along with chasers. My DD and I are having a blast. Found PT52 gold chaser Dug, which is my DD's favorite.

Yes..it is still quite amazing..
my dd's went without me yesterday....
and they came back with 5 more LE's for my collection...not counting whatever they got for their own...
I think...I will go to the parks later today.

Are these LEs you saw regular LE pins that are released to the public, but happened to be on CM lanyards? I'm still learning about all of this, and I want to make sure I can get the best pins next time I go. I've made an OK start these past two years (I hope!), but I love reading what the experts here have to say.

Yes..they were.
Normally, that happens because folks have traded em to the CMs..
unfortunately...
that is not the case now...
Last night..there was almost nothing good on CM lanyards.
