FWIW, this has had no effect on my ability to book BWV or BCV for early March. Still showing the same inventory as yesterday.
Did you happen to search early this morning when the booking tool came live? A lot of the inventory I was looking at was gone with in 15 mins at most and disappeared in pieces not all at once. I’m not exaggerating when I say I saw almost all studios available across the entire Presidents’ Day week which has been mostly booked and our 4 day trip over the 50th which has been fully booked for months was showing a lot also but not every room type.FWIW, this has had no effect on my ability to book BWV or BCV for early March. Having been a victim of the great "restaurant reservation glitch" fiasco awhile ago... I think last Oct/Nov?... this isn't going to be what you want to hear. Early morning, boatloads of restaurants times open up... there is a feeding frenzy of people who had been struggling to get ressies at most places... I had reservations at places I really wanted to eat and my trip was only two weeks away, BUT better times were suddenly available, so I modified them. Long story short, it was a glitch. They cancelled every single one made... no exceptions for those of us who had modified an existing reservation. Wouldn't give us back the original ressies which represented an actual available bookable time.. which I understood, since when I modified, I released it to someone else. In Disney's eyes, the new booking I made was never a real opening. I'm not saying I agree, but that was their position. For folks who were going at the holidays in December, stalking was a way to get some of these times back before their trip. With so little time before my trip, I couldn't rebook any of them... none. So I lost them all.Question for those who have need victim to a “glitch” in the past - What does DVC do to fix it? I’ve had a reservation for a 1 bedroom ocean view booked for months now. I’ve been looking to change to a 1 bedroom island view to free up some points, with zero luck until this morning, when the 1 bedroom island view suddenly had full availability. I immediately switched over. If it was a glitch, do I get my old room back? If they can cancel my new booking, presumably they can cancel the booking of whoever picked up my ocean view room?
I'll play. I just booked 2/22 in the standard view BWV studio.Ok I’m definitely suspicious of the inventory now. Like I’ve said been stalking Presidents’ Day week, have my rooms but I like to see what’s out there anyway. Feb 22 we are going to universal but coming back to boardwalk the day after so we don’t have a day booked on the 22nd so I grabbed the boardwalk standard studio that’s showing available. I went back and searched again after picking it up and it’s still showing available. With how few standard view studios there are I’m suspect for sure.
I don’t have enough points to try booking another without borrowing. Anyone out there have 15 extra points and want to join in my experiment and try booing that boardwalk standard studio showing for Feb 22?

And it disappeared as soon as I had the confirmation. I don't really need it, so I'll cancel now, but there seems to be only one room showing available.I'll play. I just booked 2/22 in the standard view BWV studio.
Would have been 2 since I’m holding 1 I booked also but happy to hear it disappeared. I’ll cancel mine too since I don’t need it either. Thanks for playing along lol.And it disappeared as soon as I had the confirmation. I don't really need it, so I'll cancel now, but there seems to be only one room showing available.
If by chance that was a club studio on 11/3, I had been holding it as part of a crazy split stay that I canceled in favor of a value studio that became available in the flood of inventory this morning.I haven't been able to get on since last night so I came here to see if anyone else was experiencing this. I found this thread and jumped on, to my surprise a room I had waitlisted (AKL CL studio) was available. I grabbed it so fast, I couldn't believe my eyes. I really hope this isn't a glitch because I had to borrow a couple of points to do it so I can see this being a huge nightmare to get those points back in the correct UY if it is a glitch.

I never thought of that. That's an excellent point there.Could they have declared a bunch of Rivera rooms? I could see that causing a bunch of Riviera waitlists to match...thus freeing up a ton of availability at the other resorts.
Weren't members who booked Riviera (a few weeks back) that otherwise couldn't, get those reservations removed?I just contacted member services and was told if I was able to book it then it wasn't a glitch. I was lucky and was able to add 2 nights in a value studio in Oct. My reservations are now merged into one and magical express is booked!
For myself, I hadn't modified an existing reservation so I don't know what they would do about that part but I had picked up some nights at VGC. They ended up giving us the option of a room on the hotel side instead or it would simply be cancelled. The main issue I had was that the points would be converted to reservation points (though they would make up the difference) so if I were to cancel I would have been stuck with reservation points. I just cancelled the reservation to get the points back as normal points instead.Question for those who have need victim to a “glitch” in the past - What does DVC do to fix it?
