Lot's and Lot's of questions

We will be staying in a cabin 10/28-11/5 and I am sooo excited!!! WE consists of Me, DH, DD14, DS3 and DD1. We have the DDP and I have made our ADR's we are doing MBYBBQ on haloween night and MNSSHP the thursday before (29th) I figure Thursday would be less crowded than So I have a ton of ???'s

1. how hard is it traveling around to get to transportation like the buses and boats?

2. how long does it take if we take the boat to MK (is it faster by bus?)
3. do i have to fold my Ginormous double stroller on the boats? (obviously yes on the bus)
4. what is the average cost per day for Golf Carts?
5. how is the new pool area?
6. any suggestions for kiddies and a teen?

Any and all tips are welcome especially those about travelling around etc.... I wanted to stay at the new BLT but couldn't come up with the price difference$$$ besides, FWC sounds way more fun!!!

Be advised, this is MHO,

1. Buses internally about 10 minutes and a little longer with boats. Outpost buses a bit longer unless you hit it just right. Return buses are MUCH longer. 30 minutes is good, it usually takes longer.

2. Take the boat, it's much quicker and pretty view.

3. Yes, unless you get an empty boat.

4. See the golf cart thread and go with Kenny at Tee Time (I think that's the name).

5. Everyone LOVES it.

6. Checkout various thread for input here. Way to much to do to list here. It would take about 2 pages.

You'll LOVE the cabins. They are perfect for a family your size. We head back to our favorite place to stay at WDW - the very same cabins - in just 3 days. It looks like you got the answers to most of the questions - I'll just say that I would definitely plan to rent a golf cart from somewhere (either FW or one of the third party rental places - you can find them in a sticky at the top of the camping board) - the carts make it soooooo much more fun to get around. Other than that, it's fun and easy to figure out FW. Go to the movie, see Chip and Dale, have fun at the pool, your teen will probably want to go to the game rooms (one at Trail's End, one at the main pool), ... Mainly, relax and have a great time!!

And, do a trip report when you get back!!

The only way to MK is by boat. If you have a golf cart you won't need the internal buses, but they run about 10 - 20 minuets.

I would've opted for the party on nov 1st. Just because it's the day before doesn't mean it's not any less crazy than halloween night.

There's lots of happenings on Halloween at the fort. You can go trick or treating, or hand out candy (turn your name in at the meadows). At the campfire they have halloween specials, chip and dale give out candy. Definatly go sight seeing, the 300 loop always amazing. You can also do the haunted carriage ride, 60$ for the carriage. There's a pumpkin carving contest, pumpkins must be turned in by 5pm. I want to say there's another halloween thread on here with a picture of the "happenings at the fort" paper.

the only way to take the bus, is to get on the orange route bus, take it to the lodge then catch the MK bus from there. The boat is much nicer. And it's the larger mermaid boat so you might not have to fold the stroller up. But sometimes during busy times they'll pull other smaller boats to help with the crowd.

There is no guarantee that the activities in 2009 will be the same as 2008, but there is a good chance they will be.

We went to the MNSSHP on the Thursday before Halloween last year, and it was not that crowded. Halloween was on Friday night. My guess is that this year, the Thursday night party will be less crowded.
