Hey Everyone-
So I am fairly new on these boards. My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon to Disney in July :cool1: and we are trying to figure out our transportation. I have been to Disney about 10 times with my family, but we usually drive so I'm new to flying.
Right now my fiance and I are trying to decide what airline to use. But my first question is, do you think it's too far in advance to order our airline tickets? I am one that likes to get things taken care of, and we have the money right now so it would be nice. So that's my first question, now on to my more complicated one.
We would like to fly with Allegiant Air because they have the least expensive tickets right now, and they have the time that works best for us. However, they don't fly into Orlando International. So, this creates a problem b/c we looked into renting a car, but because we are under 25, most of the places were going to charge like $100 extra! Yikes. And the other issue is that we are going to stay at the Boardwalk first, and then we are going on a cruise. So, how would we get back to the airport from Port Canaveral?
So I had thought, maybe we should use the money that we would have to put towards a rental car and buy some airline tickets that fly into MCO to save us time and hassle. Which leads me to my next question... :rotfl: about the Magical Express. How do we make reservations for this? Also, our flight probable wouldn't get in until about midnight, would that be a problem? And does the ME travel from Port Canaveral back to MCO?
I hate having to post this, because normally my family and I know exactly what we are doing, but right now I feel so lost! :crazy2:
I really appreciate anyone's help!

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

I'd be nervous about booking Allegiant Air right now. I'd wait until four months or so before my trip and even then I might be nervous.

No, not at all. However, they are relatively small (they've only got 15 old MD-8xs!), and too much can happen in this volatile airline industry.

what if we didn't go with Allegiant? How far out do you recommend booking with the major airlines? I just don't want the prices to increase.

nobody can help me? :guilty:

My DS and his DGF are flying out 3/5/06 ALLEGIANT AIR from Worcester MA to Sanford/Orlando. I was actually on the WONDER with my DH when DS booked this trip. I was VERY concerned about HOW THEY WOULD GET TO WDW from S/O!!! Well you need to call them...as they found out...Allegiant Air OFFERS $21.00pp towards the SHUTTLE that will take you right over to the RESORTS. Call A.A. and inquire immediately about the $21.00pp towards a transfer. NOW, DS and DGF had to still pay an additional $40.00pp for the round trip to WDW (included the $21.00pp) BUT their FARE to S/O was so fabulous they opted for this airline and paying for the shuttle services..they still saved a bundle. When I returned from our DCL, I went on THESE boards and asked Posters about A.Airlines and those that had traveled with them RAVED about it and they loved the S/O Airport as well. So bottomline: CALL THEM TODAY and ask about your transfer to WDW!!! GOOD LUCK and CONGRATULATIONS!!! pixiedust:

p.s. like you they are under 25 y.o. and I had inquired about a rental car for them as well and there was a sizeable FEE if you are under 25 y.o.!! National and Alamo will ALLOW you to rent BUT you have a huge fee to deal with..ugh...
