I hit my goal weight this weekend. I had a goal of losing 35 pounds before our family trip to Disney World, and I made it with a few days to spare! I am wearing shorts now that I wore before having my son, and they are totally comfortable.

Congratulations! Do you have any suggestions for those of us wanting to lose weight? I am 7 months pregnant now so I can't but will need to lose after she gets here. I plan to use sparkpeople.com, wii fit, and the weight machine that is currently collecting a very lovely coat of dust from non use.

Wow= that's great news! Congrats!

I always seem to gain weight when I go on vacation...
Hope you have a wonderful trip and you will have to post many pics from your trip!

Have fun and again, congrats!

I don't know if I am the best at offering tips, but here is what I did. It worked for me. I have a low impact aerobics video that I try and do at least 3 times a week. I don't always succeed since I have two boys to chase after, but I do try. I don't buy much junk food for our house so I am not tempted to eat it. We control portion sizes at meals which was a biggie for me! I also try to make my favorite recipes healthier but still delicious. I sub ground turkey for beef at lots of meals. I also cut out all soda. Hope this helps! (I am trying to convince my husband that we need a Wii too. Maybe I can use the Christmas angle.)

I am trying to take off 10 more pounds by Oct.1 (the day we leave). This is DD4 and my first trip to Disney and I do not want to be heavy in my pictures! Vanity, Vanity!!!!
I have already lost 7 by watching my portions and doing Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. I just love her DVDs!

Congrats, that is awesome! I am getting closer and closer to my goal, still have about 10 or so to go with a little over a month and a half till our trip.

One suggestion I can give everyone...someone mentioned Sparkpeople. It is a cool site but a friend introduced me to The Daily Plate and I find it so much easier to use! It is part of the Livestrong website. But it lists things in such an easy to find way, LOVE it for tracking my food and exercise.

Keep it up everyone! Any amount you lose will make you fitter, healthier and happier!!

I second the Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds DVD's!!! I do the 4 mile walk 4 days a week and I've been watching my snacking. I've lost 11 lbs. so far and I am more tone than I've been in a while!!!:thumbsup2

OP, just wondering how long it took you to lose your 35#? I am working on 40# before our trip, which is 9 months out. Congrats!! Great job!!! :yay:

I use this website to track how many calories I can have to meet my goal by a certain date. You put in your height, weight, how much you want to lose and by when and it will tell you how many calories per day to get to the goal. I think it's neat...

Congrats! WTG! I'm with you there! I've lost 20lbs up to now and of course hope to continue losing after we return from Disney and I am hoping to make decent food choices and maybe even lose a little more while at Disney! :)

It's nice to have that much less weight to carry around!!!! :)

that is a crazy website..if I want to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks it says I can only eat 750 calories a day...guess that won't happen;) I supposed I could be happy with 5 pounds before I go to Hawaii on Oct 3rd.

Congrats on your BIG achievement.:thumbsup2

Congrats. I just started my "dis diet" today. I've lost so much in the past 2 years only to find it and have to lose it all over again and I want to lose it and keep it off this time.

I normally don't have anything to look forward to and I'd say disney is finally that something.

:cheer2::cheer2:Congrats!!!!!! I'm so proud of you!
I'm jealous though. I wish I was at my goal weight. I've managed to make it halfway there though. 60 pounds down and 60 to go. :thumbsup2 I have been doing the Dr.'s RX Diet Program for the last 5 months.
For those who have never heard of it. I go to their office once a month and get weighed and measured, talk to the Dr. and pick up my month's supply of Phentermine, which I take once a day to curb my appetite. I follow a fairly low carb diet (about 30-40 carbs a day). I still have pizza about once a month, and occasional treats though.;). I'm supposed to exercise too, but I don't always find the time. Don't get me wrong, I have a 3 year old, I get plenty of exercise:lmao:, it's just not the "structured" :yay: kind you can count.

Congrats. I'm hoping for another 12lbs b4 we leave for Disney. It would bring my total to 60lbs. I'm jealous!!!!
