LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

Has anyone discussed Libby giving the boat to Desmond? Could Libby's time in the hospital with Hurley be attributed to her husbands death? It is interesting that during the funeral the Elizebeth boat came into view.

Interesting. I hadn't thought of that timing....

I did wonder if Libby was a plant somehow, sent to miraculously offer Desmond a free boat so that he would enter Penelope's dad's race and be trapped by the island. Then Penelope finds out and knows a lot more than we do about the island and knows there is only one way to find the island - hence the Arctic guys.

Think I got the Kelvin and Kate's not-dad thing straight now. Trying to remember and keep track of all the characters' past connections is tough!

I so miss Lost! I hope to see the threads here somehow keep going to tide me over the summer. I haven't been able to find a good, clean, not crazy off topic Lost board anywhere else...

This thread has been kept alive over two seasons, especially be Bengalbelle who comes up with the best spoilers. :goodvibes It will probably be a little slow, but just post about the show and one of us will answer, we will all be in withdrawel. :teeth:

At the beginning of the new season someone will probably start a new non-spoiler one for that season.

Hey - I think I finally figured out something on this show! In the spoilers when they say that the viewers saw the smoke monster but didn't realize we were seeing it - in the finale when Sayid said he'd scout the Others' camp and then light a fire using the leaves that produce black smoke and then Jack, Michael, Kate, Sawyer and Hurley are going thru the jungle and they see the smoke - we all figured that was Sayid's fire, but maybe the smoke was the smoke monster. Whaddya think?

I think it has something to do with that weird bird. If you remember from the first season there was a bird right before the smoke monster showed up when it grabbed Locke.

I was thinking this also but when they showed the fire at the other end of the island it didn't look weird. Maybe your right. I guess we have to wait till next season to find out. :teeth: How many more days till next season? :lmao:

My coworker just emailed me this story:

'Lost' character sailed into the sunset, possibly forever
Actor Harold Perrineau (Michael) tells Scripps Howard News Service he won't be back on ABC's "Lost" when it returns in the fall.

"As of so far, I am not back next season," says the actor whose character, Michael, sailed off with his son, Walt, in the season finale May 24.
Perrineau, who was central to the "Lost" story line in recent weeks, says he is free to pursue other work and is no longer under contract with "Lost."

He says producers told him weeks ago he was being written off the show, but he also knew of a story line in which Michael, once he got home, attempts to get back to the island. Apparently that story line is not planned for next season, he says.

"I have no idea what is going on now," he says. Join the club, Harold.

Possibly. I was thinking it was the weird bird that appeared to say Hurley's name. But, I also have been suspicious of the black smoke since they never showed Sayid lighting the fire.

I just read an article in today's paper about Perrineau. He said he will not be back next season and he may never be back. He is no longer under contract with Lost. He said he has no idea what is going on now. He said the parting shot of Michael and Walt leaving the island was "very clear" in the script and there was no doubt they were going home but when he watched it, he thought, "Well, does he get off the island? Is he going to go out a couple of miles and turn around and come back to get help for the hostages? Come on. Even I was confused by what I saw." The article said he and his family have left Hawaii and he is now in New York City mulling offers.

I don't understand how Lost could get rid of Michael and Walt, especially Walt. There was something about him. Didn't someone say that Walt seemed to show up in places and knew "things"? It seemed like the "others" wanted to study him for some reason, maybe they will explain it next seaspn. On the other hand, you didn't say that Walt wasn't coming back, just Michael.

I don't know what else Michael and Walt could add to the show. Their stories are done except for an explaination about Walt's "powers". I think the others are doing experiments on people (especially children) on life longevity, etc. after looking at the websites they advertise during the show.

I don't think this is the end of the Michael and Walt storyline. Nothing is a given on this show! They are full of surprises.

everything I've heard says that Michael and Walt are not series regulars for next season. That's it. Both Damon and Carlton have said that there is a story arc planned that Michael tries to return to the island to help the other survivors but they don't think that'll be told next season. The need to tell the story of the others first.

I'm sure we will get more info about Walt and why he was needed as we learn more about the others.

Remember just because they aren't contract regulars doesn't mean we won't ever see them again. Being under contract just means that they can't seek work elsewhere. We've seen a lot of Julie Bowen, John Terry, Mira Furlan...none of which are contracted series regulars. I bet we'll see them in the real world eventually. Maybe not in season 3 but someday.

Just like I think we will continue to see Shannon, Boone, Libby (definately Libby) and Ana Lucia in flashbacks.

What really concerns me is the pace of story telling. We are through 2 season and we haven't even scrached the surface of this story. How many seasons will be needed to get a resolve? We will get the full story or a hastily thrown together version like we did with Alias? Will the network interfere if they think the show is too confusing like they did with Alias? Will it be able to sustain ratings so we get a resolution? It is a high $$ show.

I think they need to pick up the pace a little bit so we can get resoultions before the show ends!

They were both released from their contracts and this statement came from Michael himself. He said the writers hinted to him there might be a story line that could possibly contain them but it definitely won't be in the next season.

06/12 - I *believe* Locke, Eko and Desmon will be back. Terry O'Quinn and SexAAA (Adewale Akinnuoye Agbaje) are both under contract, and I've heard Desmond will be back. Now, that could be in a flashback, but it was my understanding his next appearance would be more of the still-breathing-on-the-island variety. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Here is a link to a good article in Entertainment Weekly. It goes over The Lost Experience, the online game that ABC is running. I haven't really been following it, I need to find a summary of all of the info that's come out this summer!
