LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

When Desmond was washing the dishes it seemed that the dish soap was new, something that has come out recently. I will check when I get home tonight.

that Locke kind of 'knew' Kate wanted in that hatch too. :) He knew she was going to follow him. ;) Also, when the guy said "brother" I knew right away WHO it was, and went "WHOA!" :earseek: I also think that "desmond" some how got on the Island either by boat or another plane crash, investigated the Hatch and got locked in. :confused3

What was with the telescope and mirrors that Desmond had set up? And all that fire power. It was like he had been visited or attacked before and was all set up and ready for someone else to try to get him.

And what about the key around Jack's neck moving? What could have caused that?

i too am starting to distrust locke big time!
Doesn't anyone think that Jack should have left the key with the rest of the guns behind with Sayid in case something happened to him???

I think he's also hiding out from the Others! Maybe the Others are a bunch of genetically messed up humans from whatever was being quarantined.

The "quarantine" sign was on the inside of the hatch. Leads me to believe what ever is outside of the bunker is what is quarantined!

Jack's key was moving due to magnetic force... :confused3 don't have any idea why but it appeared to be a blocked off tunnel.

I think that was his way of being able to see down the hall to the hatch. Something magnetic is obviously behind that wall where Jack was looking when the key moved. I wonder if that is connected to where the others are. It looked like a door that had been boarded up and there were buckets of cement sitting at the bottom of it. The hatch may be the only way left to get into that area so he has all of that set up to protect himself.

Maybe whatever that magnetic force that pulled the key out from Jack's neck has something to do with why the plane crashed.

I was wondering where Desmond was getting his supplies from too but for all we know there could be an underground society down there and Desmond is just the gate keeper. They will put a WalMart in the darndest places! :rotfl:

I'm thinking Desmond IS NOT one of the 'others' I think the others are roughing it on the island, just like our castaways. BUT, Desmond may not be alone in the 'bunker'. He was sleeping in the top bunk....did anyone notice the condition of the bottom bunk?

Lots of bunker questions, electricity/fresh food/major weapons stash/etc.

I did think it a bit farfetched that Jack recognized Desmond so quickly. Do you think you'd recall the face of someone you spent just a few minutes with over five years ago ESPECIALLY under the stressful circumstances? Of course, we don't know if Jack has seen Desmond SINCE the stadium encounter ::yes::

I think he was supposed to remember him............like it was implanted in his brain........

My Father thinks the hatch was there all ready and Desmond went in to hide when he wound up on the island during the race around the world (thus explaining the70's decor and technology) and due to the magnetic powers of the island (possible meteor crash years and years ago), the door shut and he got stuck in there.

It might be like a time capsule.......and maybe it opened to early..... :earseek:

Do you think that magnetic field is what brought down the plane??

My theory on that is that the Island "security system" (or monster) is what brought it down. If you watch the first episode in slow-mo where they are on the beach you see a lot of those black shadows flying around, including one that dips down and hits the engine just before it blows up.

It could be that the magnetic field is what generates the monster.

I've got a question...have the lostaways explored every part of the island? Heres my theory... the place where desmond is is just the security center and there are tunnels though out the island and at one end of the island they have a tunnel that reaches the beach where the "others" docked the boat that they used to get Walt... and thats where they can get supplies delivered to them such as the fruit that desmond uses to make his smoothies...

my other question however goes against my first theory... if the island is under quarante then why would the others be above ground and wouldnt what ever the island is under quantine for spread because of wind like the jet stream and such...?

Something I thought was strange during the first hour of the 2 hour premier was that several times during the recap the surviors were refered to as "the others" by another castaway. I kept wondering if they were doing that for some purpose.

They haven't started exploring yet, they are supposed to this season.

I posted this on the other thread to: Does anyone think that maybe Demond is Claire's baby's father?

we've already seen Claire's baby's father. Tom. The jerk who convinced her to keep the baby then ditched her. In the episode, Raised by Another.
