LOST....*WARNING* Future Spoilers

To twist it a bit more - what if Sara is an "other" too? Maybe she was there to make sure that Boone and Shannon met (by doing away with Shannon's real father?)

I thought that Shannon's father married Boone's mother, not the other way around :confused3

As I was coming in to work this morning they were talking about the show and they had people calling in about it. They came up with a few good things they observed. One said that on the vial of stuff he injected it has the numbers on it and that the number 108 that was a part of the painting on the wall is all of the numbers added together. One person said that a friend of hers recorded what Walt was saying and then played it back. She said it sounds like he says "Don't push the button the buttons bad".

he did. Shannon's father, Adam Rutherford, married Boone's mom, Sabrina Carlyle.

If that's the case, then I wonder if that's why Boone died, because Shannon was the one who was suppose to be on the island and not Boone. I'm thinking this since the man killed in the accident last name was Rutherford, which would be Shannon's last name, not Boone's. Does that make any sense?

I'm thinking that Shannon seeing Walt was an apparition. Because of his "special powers" he was attempting to communicate with her.

Now that I'm thinking about the characters who have died, I'm thinking my theory about the island not wanting Boone may be right. We also have the pilots dying, the island didn't need them, just needed them to fly the plane. The island needed the marshall to get Kate on the plane, once the plane crashes it doesn't need him anymore, then he dies. I know I'm rambling. I'm so determined to figure this show out ;)

I also knew the guy in the hatch would end up being the guy running with Jack.

I got the feeling after watching the show that the guy is evil. He didn't seem surprised to see Jack. It was all planned by him.

I had the feeling when he predicted the "miracle" and then he was on the island, that he's evil, like maybe the devil.

Like he thinks Jack owes him now for that miracle? That's how it felt to me after seeing the whole show.

If it's the same guy, how will they explain that the hatch is outfitted with late 70's/early 80's technology and records and Jack met the guy running approximately mid to late 90's?

Maybe Walt used his powers to summon Vincent to cause Shannon to look for him so he could "appear" to her

I told my DH the same thing, and low an behold who is in the hatch!

Debknight, I forgot about Walt's powers, maybe he was trying to contact her.

I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!! :cheer2:

I like that theory!

Maybe Desmond got stuck on the island in the midst of his race around the world. ;)

I'm so disappointed we got no glimpse of the people who were on the boat (except ghostly Walt)!

I'm thinking Desmond IS NOT one of the 'others' I think the others are roughing it on the island, just like our castaways. BUT, Desmond may not be alone in the 'bunker'. He was sleeping in the top bunk....did anyone notice the condition of the bottom bunk?

Lots of bunker questions, electricity/fresh food/major weapons stash/etc.

I did think it a bit farfetched that Jack recognized Desmond so quickly. Do you think you'd recall the face of someone you spent just a few minutes with over five years ago ESPECIALLY under the stressful circumstances? Of course, we don't know if Jack has seen Desmond SINCE the stadium encounter ::yes::

I haven't watched all the LOST episodes from last season, but I know enough. WOW! Last night was surprising! Also, if you want to understand what's being whispered sometimes it's good to keep your closed captioning on. My mother thought Jack said "Luke" but in reality he said "You."

I've rented the first few episodes on DVD so I can fully appreciate this series. :)

My Father thinks the hatch was there all ready and Desmond went in to hide when he wound up on the island during the race around the world (thus explaining the70's decor and technology) and due to the magnetic powers of the island (possible meteor crash years and years ago), the door shut and he got stuck in there.

Jack's original encounter with Desmond must have made a big impression on him because it was such a miracle that Sara walked again (and he just had the flashback). Once in the hatch, I think it was the accent and Desmond saying "brother" that caught Jack's attention.

There was also a front load washer and dryer (relatively new inventions) so someone is bringing supplies. Also the fruit he was using to make his shake. There has to be another way in and out of the hatch.

That's what I think - that Desmond landed on the island through his world travels. Maybe a previous hatch inhabitant let him in and showed him the ropes (like why it's necessary to inject yourself)

Does anyone else have that 70's song in their head? :rotfl:

Maybe his race around the world was to meet all the other lostaways. I still wish we could have seen Locke and Kate's reaction when they saw (and possibly recognized??) Desmond. Be interesting if they all had him in common too.
Locke gave me a bad vibe last night. I almost felt like he was playing with Jack with Desmond. Like he and Desmond already had a history and Jack was the outsider. I think he just had be paranoid. He behaved badly last night--I usually like him but I did NOT last night.

I thought it was interesting how quickly Kate followed Locke and I was also surprised that Locke let Kate go down the hatch first (not something Jack would have done).
