I guess I can understand that, although I don't like to do a lot of "deep thinking" ;)

I thought they were going to get into why the plane crashed at the end of this season; has that idea been scrapped? Has anyone heard?

I read somewhere they'll explain in the 2 hour season finale. Let's hope they keep their word. ;)

Just got my Entertainment Weekly and LOST is on the cover, in fact there are four different covers all in the same magazine. Some great pics (especially Sawyer and Jack)! They had a couple of interesting things in the article:
1 - Watros (Libby) wasn't originally marked for death. Didn't mention why they decided to kill her. Probably to do with her getting on another series. They say she will pop up in Desmond's flashbacks - interesting!
2 - Producers mentioned how the show explores the questions of "how does one lead a life" and the "spiritual awakenings during adulthood".
3 - Season 3 will have new locations and characters and the theme of "Us versus them" although who "us" and "them" are is the question.
4 - The producers said the May 17th episode with reveal Michael's motivations and the consequences will begin to play out in the finale. Also Desmond will show up in the final episode (the MIA hatch man).

Thought I would share - good article. If you can find the magazine, get it - worth it for the pics alone!

They have to type in the numbers every 108 minutes.

I thought the number 108 was odd--why not 90, 180, or even 60? For some reason it clicked to add the numbers together. They equal 108. Not sure it means ANYTHING, it was just an observation. Then I got to wondering if I were the only person in the world who hadn't figured that out already! I'm not exactly slow, but it does take a while to catch up sometimes! :goodvibes

Thanks for clearing that up.

I think Libby saying Michael will be a BIG RED FLAG as soon as they calm down. They will have to ask how Anna was shot on the sofa if she was going into the Armory. Then Libby was shot with blankets then Michael only has a shoulder wound. Michael was the only one shot in the Armory.

Gotta love TIVO, DH and I just went frame by frame through previews for next week - one of the things that really caught our eye was the pile of tubes (used in the Pearl to send the reports) - OMG it's huge. Jack is standing by it. Also saw Desmond, Locke trying to destroy the computer and Sayid and Jin on the sailboat staring at something.

Episode 2.23: Live Together, Die Alone (2-hour season finale) (Desmond-centric)
Airdate: May 24, 2006 from 9 to 11 p.m.

05/17 - "We are going to tell you why the plane crashed," says Cuse. "We're going to explain what happens if you don't push the button. And we're going to resolve the Michael-and-Walt story." (Michael's son, Walt, was kidnapped by "the others" in last year's season finale and has been missing ever since.) Desmond, the enigmatic guy originally discovered in the hatch, also reappears, and he's not in good shape, though he gives the survivors fresh hope for escape. Just as last year's finale expanded our scope of the island's boundaries, this year's will expand its relevance. "There is something else that is reverberating on our planet that is directly linked to this island," says Monaghan. "You begin to understand that what is happening there has a significant butterfly effect in the rest of the world." One more thing: we think another character is going to die, or come close. It's just a hypothesis, based on the fact that when we asked Michelle Rodriguez (Ana Lucia) to guess which character would die after Libby, she said: "I can't do that, 'cause I know." Then she clammed up. Source: Newsweek

05/16 - At the beach, long-lost button pusher Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) chugs from a bottle of booze and spills a secret. (Hint: It's sick.) [...] This time, we'll see Walt again, learn what caused Oceanic flight 815 to crash, find out what that mysterious button actually does (if anything), and more. Source: Entertainment Weekly

General Season 2 spoilers:

05/17 - Michael Emerson (Henry Gale) [...] is returning next season as a series regular. Source: The Ausiello Report

05/16 - [In Season 3,] there will be new locations and new characters (one rumor has Desmond joining the cast full-time, but producers won't comment). The season's big theme sounds timely, twisty, and terrifying. Hints Lindelof: "'Us versus Them.' But who's the 'us,' and who's the 'them'?" Source: Entertainment Weekly

05/14 - Damon Lindelof [reveals]: Libby's got this mysterious backstory, of which we've only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she's spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there... we have a master plan for how we're going to tell that story, but it's all posthumous. You'll start to learn Libby's moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we're not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead. Source: The Ausiello Report

Thanks for that Begalbelle. That whole 'Us versus Them but who's the them thing' sounds intriguing. What would be cool is if they introduced us to the Others the way they did the Tailies. And Jack's crew too. You know, with all the backstories and all. I think they're not "bad guys" but are trying to help the Losties in some way.

My favorite part last night was when they showed Walt and everything he said to Michael. That they aren't who they say they are and that they are pretending. Very interesting.

I can't imagine that these "others" are nice people actually helping the Lost people. Because of the fact that because of them, Michael killed two people! And that girl helped Claire leave because they were going to take her baby.

I don't think they are nice people.

Okay posting the spoiler I read about where Desmond get's the boat. But taking a hint from SpoilerFix and keeping it hidden.

04/18 - [Quite spoilery, highlight at your own risk... In flashback that is set in 2000 in L.A., Libby buys Desmond coffee and offers him her boat. Charlie and Eko enter the hatch to get dynamite. Rose and Locke have a chat. Later in the episode, we see Desmond lying on the beach shore, waking up, being carried to the hatch, and Desmond and Kelvin walking through the jungle. While in prison (not sure if it's on island or flashback), Widmore tells Desmond off. There will be one scene of Desmond in the stadium. Dr. Candle will appear.]

Duh! I posted that spoiler and I didn't remember it. Pregnancy brain, I guess
Thanks for posting it again!

Okay, I can't believe I noticed this while watching that Sawyer video (by the way, thank you LaLa. I'll be having nice dreams tonight), but I could have sworn I saw Henry Gale in there and I don't remember Henry and Sawyer having scenes in the hatch, so I'm thinking he was in a flashback of Sawyer's and I'm trying to figure out which one from the video. Henry appears a few seconds after Sawyer puts on a blue shirt. It goes pretty fast, but you can actually stop the video and make it go back by dragging on the moving cursor.

If it's right after he puts on the blue long sleeved shirt that's the guy he thought was "Sawyer" (that he killed).

Hey, glad yall enjoyed the video.

Tiggerpiglet, are you talking about the guy they show right after Sawyer puts on the blue shirt during his Con Flashback? The guy is sitting on the ground in the rain I think and crying? Wasn't that the guy he shot in Australia? You know, the one with the Shrimp stand that he thought was the real Sawyer?
