Lost tickets

We were scheduled to visit WDW for a multi-family gathering in mid-March but the trip obviously was cancelled. I had linked everyone's tickets into my MDE and had given everyone their magic bands. I gave one family their park tickets as well since they were arriving separately. Those tickets are now lost and that family will not be able to go to WDW this year. Since I linked the tickets in MDE, I figure I'll be able to use the value toward tickets in the future. But since the tickets were never used could a stranger possibly find them and use them?

1. Yes.
2. That is possible, but I'd say that is a very unlikely situation unless there was some kind of gross irresponsibility with the tickets. (And, the person finding the tickets must know what to do with them or sell them.)
If you think that's the case, you can spend the time calling Disney and having new tickets issued (and the old ones cancelled.)
