you really need a 'somewhere in between' option.....Im guessing you'll get lots of "others".

I didn't love or hate it....I enjoyed the episode as a whole, but was not completely on board with the ending.

Well, considering it made me cry, laugh, smile, and want to go through and watch the whole series again, I'd say I was satisfied with it. :thumbsup2

I went and watched the first couple episodes again today. When I first started watching I was a huge Heroes fan and didn't pay too much attention to the first two seasons so I missed a couple references to the beginning like the shoe and the dog being there at first too. I knew it started with his eye opening but that was about it. I think I'm going to end up watching the whole series again.

Well I just saved myself lots of money...I had planned on buying it on blu-ray. That was until I watched the last 10 minutes. Ugh, I hated it.

I have to say I will probably not watch a JJ Abrams show again. The ending of Alias was bad too.

Can't believe we wasted all of these years of our lives.:confused3

I voted 'other'. I gave up after the first two seasons - it was making me crabby! Felt too much like work - you want me to think???

I LOVED it. :goodvibes

DF and I had some friends over for a LOST finale party last night, and some of them thought it was horrible because all the answers weren't given out. But you know what.. it's LOST. I really think Jacob/MIB's mom said it best when she said: "Every question I answer will simply lead to another question'". They simply couldn't (and shouldn't) give us all the answers, because the answers aren't what's important. The theme of the show went a lot deeper than the origins of the island, or what the smoke monster exactly was.

I LOVED IT!!! I can't wait to rewatch it. I thought it was a beautiful ending. I know a few of my friends didn't 'get' the ending. They thought it meant that they all died in the plane crash. If that had been the case, I wouldn't have liked it too much either but I really loved the end and am so sad that the show is over.

I loved it. Sure, I'd like to know a few more specific answers about things related to the island, but I'm still pleased with the way the show ended. I read that they will be including more answers on the DVD/Blu-ray, and I hope that turns out to be the case. Even without that, though, "Lost" was a great show and I know I'll enjoy re-watching the whole series after the last season comes out on Blu-ray.

I noticed that many of my friends on Facebook and Twitter were confused by the ending, and I can't understand why. It seemed pretty obvious to me, especially after one of the characters actually spelled the whole thing out to another character.

I think that a show with this level of quality is rare and that admiration extended to the ending. Sure it was vague but by design from what I understand and the joy and smiles of the characters I love made it all worth it to me.

You took the words outta my mouth. I'm quite surprised about how many people didn't get it.

I LOVED it.:lovestruc

I didn't like it. All in all I didn't care for this season. What hooked me was the mysterious nature of the island. Why all that if it was just about the people? I actually felt the end was too sappy. It seems like there could have been an in between where they resolved the characters big flaws and their acceptance of the island. I liked Rose and Bernards conclusion. I also felt that the characters said a lot of blunt and almost negative things towards those of us who enjoyed the mystery and enjoyed speculating on it. The mom saying answering questions will just lead to more questions. Flocke saying that Jack was the obvious choice of Jacob and Jack saying it was his choice. I read that verbatim from message boards before it was aired.

And what was up with the first season and all the dharma interactive things if dharma really didn't mean that much in the whole scheme of things?

Do you think they survived the crash... or was it just their souls on the island???
I was just glad to see all the couples back together. I don't much care how or why. LOL.

Did anyone stay up and watch Jimmy Kimmel? He was having the cast on after the finale and they were to show 3 alternate endings. I haven't had a chance to watch the DVR yet but was just curious.

I was happy with most of the episode....until I realized they were not going to wrap up a lot of the "huh?" moments from the last 6 years. I will say that when they looked over the edge of the cliff I expected Locke/Smoke Monster to be gone and to come sweeping back at them! lol Kind of a Freddy Kruger moment.

The end itself....ummm...no.....I am a true believer in the next life but it just did not click with me. And WTH was Sayid doing with Shannon and not his true love? That one made NO sense at all! Where were Michael and Walt? just a few niggly piggly things like that that really bothered me.....

If I compare it to the beautiful imagery of the final scene from M*A*S*H* that it is being compared to all over the net, LOST loses big time. In fact, after all the promises that it wouldn't be a purgatory comparison, I was annoyed that it seemed to be and almost felt like I was watching the uber cheesy episode of Dallas where Bobby is in the shower and it was all a dream....I don't want my 6 years back by any stretch but I really wanted more.

The highlights for me:
-Finally seeing Locke/Smokey really dead.....
-Sawyer and Juliette's "moment" of knowing their other life together (the heck with Romeo and Juliet....that was gut wrenchingly amazing!!!!!)
-Aaron's birth triggering Kate's memory....love of a child...wow the doors it opens!
-and seriously....the beautiful simplicity of the dog laying down with Jack in his final moment. I have a dog that would do the same for my DH and I.....and that just melted my heart.

So there are my 2 cents and then some. Didn't love it but didn't hate it.....

Some survived and some did not. I got back to Christian Shepard's comments...."some died before you, some after, and some long after.....".

They were all just waiting for each other before moving on.

That was it for me. The island mystery was fun but the characters were what brought me back for six years.

I believe that they were alive on the island.

I KNOW they survived the crash. Everything that happened on the island was real. It happened. Christian told us this.

The only thing that wasn't "real" was the sideways timeline...it was sort of Purgatory.
