Lost Souvenirs??

I recently returned from a stay at Saratoga Springs and found what I believe to be left behind souvenirs. Please respond if you lost something in November at SSR; you must identify the room and the items. I would like to be able to return the items to their owner if possible. Thank you.

I'm puzzled. You found some one else's souveniers in the room and took them home with you? And now you are trying to find them here on the DIS?

Why didn't you just take the items to the front desk? They could have easily identified the last occupants of the room and sent them their stuff.

i'd suggest that you take the time now to send them back to ssr with the date/unit you found them so that they can get them back to the rightful owner - there's nothing to say that the folks who lost their precious souvenirs will ever see your notice here on the board.

I think you were trying to do something nice, but don't forget, not everyone who goes to Disney posts here. I think you have to ship them to SSR.

I would agree with the other posts that you need to return it to SSR with as much details on the room # and dates so they can identify the owners. Just curious was this stuff under the beds or stuffed in the back of the closet so that you did not see it when you checked in?

to clarify, I had some disney bags ... put them in the TV console; when I was packing there were more bags than what I had bought so it was probably pushed to the back before I arrived and not noticed by anyone ... could have been there for months, I guess?

All the more reason to send them back with a letter explaining when and where you found them.

There may be a log or report somewhere, on file, listing the family who lost those things with instruction on how to contact them if found. Trying to 'find' them here would be impossible; SSR folks will have a much better chance of success.

figured I would try this first in case someone had posted something and that way they would have them sooner rather than later. snow storm going through but will talk with SSR on Monday ... thanks for your help.

You are a good person! From your posts, I know that you meant well. Sometimes people just can't see the situation as if they were standing in your shoes. Hope you are successful in getting the items back to the owners.
