Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

So we've assumed that the helicopter would be the way that the "6" would get off the island, but now it looks like it's with Sayid on that little boat. (or has it been confirmed they get off the island on the helicopter?)

Either way..

If Locke has to somehow move the island and he's successful, could he be the reason that only 6 are rescued? They came back for a second load of passengers and couldn't find the island at the coordinates that the helicopter pilot gave them?

Interesting thought Obi-Wan. Could very well be the reason.

What I want to know is about Abbodan...he's the one who hired Naomi and the other 4 to go to the island and now we know he visited John and put the "walkabout" idea in his head. Who is Abbodan and who is he working for? Is he on the opposite side of Richard Alpert? Why were both of them interested in John Locke?

That makes a lot of sense now that you take in the idea of the island coordinates becoming useless! I'm starting to see it now. Sayid is taking one boatload back, then the plan is he'll come back for the rest. Jin demands that Sun be on the boat, Kate takes Aaron as his caretaker and to be sure he's off the island. Sayid is of course, steering. Jack goes because he needs medical attention, and Hurley because? Okay, not sure on that one. But then the island disappears before they could get back for the rest. That makes a lot of sense. Very exciting idea and I can't wait for next week!

Very believable theories! Good ones!

i believe thats why Jack in that flashforward (forgot the episode) says he's been taking all sorts of planes to find the island, not just ones over the pacific. because he realized it's moved, he just doesn't know where.

So "Abbodan" is the name of the tall black guy who was pushing Locke's wheelchair last night? He hired Naomi, and also visited Hurley in the mental hospital after Hurley was rescued. I was wondering if this guy might be Jacob???

I think you're right. I don't know why Hurley would be on the boat either, but everybody loves Hurley, so maybe he's just there because they wanted him to go. Everyone else I agree with you about.

He also visited Hurley in the mental institution.

All I am saying is by the time this series is done they better not let me down!!!!!

I don't think 6 people could fit in that boat at one time.

When the phone was thrown from the helicopter Jack said they want us to follow them.

I think Hurley might go back on the helicopter. Maybe he finds it on his way back from the cabin.

Maybe they let Hurley go so he could use the money from his winning lottery ticket (assuming there is any left) to search on for the rest of them......?

I am really intrigued by Richard Alpert and why he was angry about young Locke saying the knife was his. What is the purpose of that whole scene? :confused3

Maybe they were not sure who he was but knew he was 1 of a few people.

I have a theory!

Lock is a key to the woman on the island not being able to conceive & come to term with a baby.

The men on the island had to leave & impregnate woman off of the island!

Then they would go back & get the children.

I agree about the island being lost and the Six can't find it now, that would be enough to make Hurley think he is going crazy and drive Jack to drink. I said to DH last night that it explained how those 5 got chosen to go (not Hurley:confused3 ) with Jack and Sun needing medical attention, the baby needing a caretaker, etc.

I wonder if instead of "time travel" that the producers have insisted the show isn't about, it is instead something like "reincarnation" of the Black Pearl pirates. Locke has always insisted that he was an explorer, etc. And now they are making us think he was part of the Black Pearl. Maybe he was the captain.:confused3

All that said, not my favorite episode. No SAWYER!!! :headache:

You mean, the Black Rock? Locke is definitely not Capt. Jack!:rotfl:

I enjoy the show..although it is getting very complicated. It didn't help that they started the season so late..and I've forgotten some things. Thanks to this thread, I can keep up. Only I have to say, my son who used to love the show..and my mom, have each given up on it. It's raised more questions than it's answered, and they were each dissapointed by this seasons format..and then moving it later..well, that meant mom was done.
Personally, I think if it weren't for this thread, I may have gone the same way. You guys are so smart, and I can't believe how much you retain, most of which goes right over my head, until someone here points it out. :thumbsup2

I really think when Claire was told she has to raise Aaron that it was so she would not give him up for adoption. Once she decided not to, and got on that plane, destiny played itself out. I don't think we should assume it meant for her to raise him always. I also think Claire was alive walking through the jungle but died of her injuries while she was asleep and then Christian came. I think Miles new she was dying and that she died and that was why he let her go.

Question: Don't know if this is correct but my son said the name on the ship has changed. He said it was originally named Karma and now it is something like Kahuna. Can anybody confirm?

We just watched it today and I too thought the name of the boat had changed. Before I thought it was something very similar to Karma, but maybe spelled a little different. But I'm certain there was an "R" in there before.

I thought Clair got on the plane to take Aaron to LA & give him up for adoption.

That seemed to be her plan. But I think the psychic knew she had to get on that flight because of what would happen and he played a little mind game with her to get her to go. That is just my guess.
