Lost Season 4 *****SPOILER**** Thread!!

I enjoyed watching the finale again with the words at the bottom of the screen.

I wonder again who is in that coffin. In the no spoiler thread a couple think it could be Ben. I'm not so sure about that.

I've read that 6 Oceanic + 1 get off the island. I can't imagine why Ben would be one of them. Why would he join Jack and the others and get off the island that he's fought so hard to protect and stay on?? :confused3

I want more spoilers!! I love them!

It's possible, if the "rescuers" are really Dharma folks who want to take the island back from Ben, that Ben is forced to leave. I don't think he'd leave voluntarily.

I also think the man in the coffin is Ben, mostly from the reply Jack gave to the mortician that the person was neither friend nor family and then Kate's reaction saying why would she go with a look of disgust on her face. It could be Locke, but I think Jack would consider him a friend, even though they've been on opposites sides as of late and I don't think Kate would have that reaction towards Locke. Are we certain it's a man in the coffin?

I'm also curious as to Jack's statement about getting his father down there to see who's drunker. I wrote on the non-spoiler thread that perhaps the island brought his father back to life, remember in the first season Jack sees him, but then there have been references to the island being in a time warp. Is it possible that when they are rescued they can go back to a point in time where they want to change something. Jack decides to go back before he turns his father in, thereby his father never dies. Jack goes on his downward spiral because his father continues to operate drunk and kills several patients, leaving Jack with a lot of guilt. Kate goes back before killing her stepfather and does not kill him, rendering her free and not on the run.:confused3

Your first paragraph is why I lean towards Ben but I am just not sure, which I am sure is how the producers want it!

I like your time warp theory.

Where is Michael originally from? I think he may be in the coffin. I'm sure Jack didn't consider him a friend anymore after he shot Ana Lucia and Libby.

I read this today, "a significant death occurs sometime after Episode 4, but before Episode 8." Also, the eighth episode, (the last completed one,) is a Michael flaskback one, that shows what happened to him between when he left at the end of season two, and present island time.

From what I'm reading 6 +1 get off.

The six are suppose to be: jack, kate, sayid, jin, sun, hurley

Then, according to DarkUFO, these are our choices for the +1:
Locke, Michael, Walt, Claire, Aaron, Cindy, Vincent.

But I thought the "plus one" would NOT be from flight #815 so I was leaning toward Desmond or Juliet but maybe I'm just misunderstanding what "plus one" really means. :confused3

I read a spoiler/rumor on DarkUFO that talked about a scene with Kate caring for Aaron int he future. If that's true, then we know who else gets off. I'll have to go back to that site and see if it was a spoiler or a rumor.

I don't think Locke would leave the island without force.

I just read a rumor/spoiler too about claire/aaron which makes me wonder if it's Aaron who gets off.

I've been reading some interesting spoilers today about each episode! I can't wait! :cool1:

Since this is a spoiler thread, I am not using white text. You clicked on this because you wanted to know:

You see a pile of fruit and suddenly a Camaro comes careening through it. It is Hurley being chased by the police. Watching on the TV is Jack. Hurley gets arrested not before saying "Don't you know who I am, I am one of the Oceanic SIX!!!. He ends up back in the mental institution. He sees Charlie there who tells him he has to get back to the island.

Back to the island, you see Hurley who is so happy about being rescued he does a cannonball into the ocean. He sees Desmond coming back alone and knows Charlie is gone.

He ends up in the jungle at the old house and looks in and can see Christian Shepherd in the Rocking Chair. As he continues to look, he sees at eye right at the window and he runs and falls. He wakes up and it is Locke standing over him.

Flash to Jack at the mental institution who has just started to grow a beard. Hurley tells him he looks weird with a beard. He tells Jack that he was sorry, that he never should have gone off with Locke.

Back at the island, they tell Jack about what Charlie wrote about Not Penny's Boat and the group splits up into Locke Party and Jack Party.

There is more...but that is enough for now. Enjoy tonight!!!!

I just read a rumor/spoiler too about claire/aaron which makes me wonder if it's Aaron who gets off.

I went back to DarkUFO and the Aaron/Kate storyline is a rumor - not a spoiler.

There are so may cool theories out there. I can't wait for tonight!!popcorn::

Okay. From what I remember when the Season 3 finale originally aired, the article that Jack was reading about the death of the person in the coffin, someone got a screen capture of it. And within that article you could make out the first initial of the decedent. That initial was a "J". That would be either John, Sawyer or Juliet in the coffin. Unless someone's real first name was never revealed. Well, I did a search and found this on lostpedia.com. Here is the link:

So, it looks like it may be Locke in that coffin.

My friend just called to tell me that there was a spoiler announced on the view today. Apparently the survivors are going to find another plane that crashed - and it too was Oceanic Flight 815. This is going to happen sometime in the first two episodes.

Weird.

Great Posts! This is going to be the best season.

Hopefully they can get the strike over so we can get the rest of the season.

Why would only SIX people make it off the island? The way I figure it, the boat sends a helicopter and it can only carry 6 people at a time. The first 6 get off and then something happens and they can't come back for anyone else.

As for who the 6 are rumored to be, yes, I can see Sun & Jin - Juliet told Sun that she'd better get off the island or she's going to die (but we don't know for sure if the "pregnancy curse" will follow Sun off the island). Kate - we'll prob. find out that she's pregnant, and that's why she left with the first group. Hurley - no surprise there.

The "+ 1" that's mentioned is either Desmond or Juliet. Desmond desperately wants to get back to Penny, but he might hesitate because he now knows that it's NOT Penny's boat. Juliet - she's so wishy/washy that I'm still not sure she's anti-Ben.....

If for some reason Claire isn't on the first helicopter off the island (maybe she won't leave until she's absolutely SURE Charlie is dead), I can definitely see her giving Aaron to Sun or Kate to take on the first helicopter.

But Sayid and Jack?? They're both leaders, and I can't see a leader being the first one off the island. Wouldn't the leader hang around to be sure everybody else got off and then he'd be on the last copter off? But from the flash forward, we KNOW Jack gets off the island.

And does anybody REALLY believe that Naomi is dead? Remember how many times they killed Patchy, but he kept coming back!

Thanks, I just watched my taped View and saw Whoopi spilled the beans. Also, Juliet was a guest but didn't reveal anything.

There was another flight #815 plane that crashed will be discovered and people were on it she said. This will not happen tonight but in the next few episodes.

I also am reading that there will be a major death in episode 5 and a couple of very big cliffhangers in episodes 7 and 8.

Oh and we will see those who have died again, for example, Libby will be featured in an episode.

I think it has something to do with the split. When Desmond tells them that its not Penny's boat some people are going to go with Jack and be "rescued" and some are going to choose to stay on the island. And for some reason no one forces them to leave. Maybe they do something to the radio tower?

I'm thinking we'll be seeing Jack's dad again.
