Thinking about the different languages the woman spoke, I can't go back and check - but was each person hearing a language THEY understood? IN other words, was this a universal translator tupe thing going on? Or do I have an overactive imagination?

Last night's episode was so good. And Hurley's oops was a riot.

Interesting that the patch guy said she should heal in a day or so, kind of like him I guess.

What ever happened to those 2 who were burried alive? They haven't shown them, have they?

I have the answer to your question but can't post it here because I think some might consider it a spoiler although I don't really consider it a spoiler, others might. Let me know if you want the answer.

Like the idea, but if that was happening wouldn't Mikail have heard her speaking Russian instead of saying shes speaking Italian?

The girl still looked a lot darker than Desmond to me, I don't think she could be Desmond and Penny's daughter. Plus, she would have said "Dad", instead of "Desmond" when she first saw him. I think she was working for Penny to find Desmond.

BabyPiglet, I don't remember anything specific linking Sawyer to Locke's dad, but I think it's a popular theory, with all the connections between the characters. The real "Sawyer" would have been about that age, and a con man, just like Locke's dad is a con man.

About the plane, in the Nikki and Paulo episode, they discussed the beach eroding and things getting washed away. Has some or most of the plane wreckage washed away?

Also, the plane broke up in the air. If the outside world found part of the wreckage in the sea, they would assume the rest was at the bottom and that there were no survivors. I don't think the outside world's belief that there were no survivors means anything, really.

Not if she has another Dad who raised her. He did walk out on her mother.

When she was talking at the end she had an Australian accent, and her complexion looks like she is from Aboriginal descent. I don't think she's Desmond's daughter (although I love the theory). If there is a time warp thing, maybe she's Penny's daughter and grew up hearing about Desmond and then went looking for him. Its a long shot though.

My problem with the time warp theory is it would make the flashbacks anachronistic. With the theory that Desmond could be this girl's father, his flashbacks would be taking place in the 80s at least, and they don't. For example, the wine he helped make with the monks was labeled 1995. If time is being sped up, it would have to be only a little sped up.

Patchy must have been pulling a bit of a ruse at the fence. He's a good character, but I'm not too crazy about the continuity problem of him coming back, though. I have a theory, but maybe shouldn't get into it on thios thread I think the other others (Goodwin and Ethan) are dead for sure.

There must be some sort of time-shifting going on. Maybe we'll find out how big of a key Desmond's visions really are soon.

ETA: Does anyone else get the creepy feeling that Sun and Jin may be -errrm, closely related?

I think healing is one thing but dead is dead. Thats why I don't think Goodwin, Ethan, Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia, Libby or any of the other dead ones are coming back. Mikail was bleeding from the ears and foaming at the mouth but it was never confirmed he was dead.

I watched the repeat of last weeks show prior to this weeks and also had a question about that. In Desmonds flash visions of the future he saw Charlie getting killed an also them finding the girl hanging in the tree. In the future flash when they were lowering the girl and catching her in the parachute Charlie was clearly shown holding the parachute catching the girl which was after Desmond had seen him getting killed. How could that have happened? Also if you go and look at the two seens you will see that the color of the parachute when they were catching her was different in the flashback than it was when it actually happened so the producers were actually thinking of flash forward visions vs actual happenings.

One of the many questions this show gives us every week that could be a clue or just a script screw up.

I have a question, why do you think Locke's dad is "Sawyer"? I missed a few episodes so was it shown?

Locke's father was a con man, and the original "Sawyer" was as well.

I'm just wondering why Juliet wouldn't suggest an abortion since neither Sun nor the baby will survive or why hadn't they performed abortions on any of the pregnant women knowing what they know?

I thought the same thing. Well I guess if Juliet is going to use Sun's pregnancy for whatever manipulation of the Losties the Others are up to she wouldn't want to give her an abortion. But you think that would be the natural thing for someone to bring up.

I guess in earlier episodes Juliet said something like "I think it happens at conception" so maybe whatever kills the women would still kill them even if they terminated the pregnancy? But you'd think it'd be worth trying at least!

well Jin's mother was a prostitute and she was with "many men", and it just seems kinda creepy.....

Okay I have found out that the parachutist said something to Mikail in another language and that when they asked what she said Mukail said she said thank you. But according to someone I know who actuall knows Portugese what she really said was.........
