LOST SEASON 3 **Official** Discussion/Speculation Thread (No Spoilers)

Oh wow, that was GREAT!

I just knew that the Juliet episode last week was all plan. IMHO, it was obvious. It just didn't make sense how she woke up with Kate and everything that transpired.

I do believe in the end Juliet will decide to do what is best for her rather than Ben or Jack. I'm hoping that deep down she is a nice person but just wants to get back to her sister so bad she'll be convinced of anything however, she did some pretty bad things when they were holding Jack, Sawyer and Kate. I'm trying not to forget that. She is still the enemy and I hope the Losties figure it out soon.

Was anyone else wondering why it took Claire so long to get sick, if she had stopped getting the shots before she had the baby? Before we found out I was wondering if there was another other giving her the shots. And how was Ethan giving Claire the shots without her knowing?
Last night, at the end, Juliet and Ben were talking and he said that they've activated the implant in Claire and that she should be systematic within the next 48 hours and that by the time Juliet gets to their camp, she'll have a nice big crisis to solve and thus gain their trust. So the shots that Juliet said she needed was all part of that plan. Ben even told her where to find the shots and they would be put there for Juliet to 'find'. I think "Ethan giving her the shots" was a lie that Juliet and Ben drummed up as a way for the Losties to trust Juliet because she was able to 'save' Claire. I don't think Ethan was actually sneaking in and giving Claire shots.

What a great episode!!! :thumbsup2 I want to believe that Juliet is a "good guy" because they make her seem so sympathetic in flashbacks. But it's hard to tell.

Question: who was the guy on the island that Juliet was sleeping with? Have we seen him before?

He was pretending to be one of the Losties and they killed him, remember? I think it might have been around the time that the Tailies were on the show, heading to the camp. I think Anna Lucia was involved. I think she killed him actually.

Ah, okay, thanks. I have a vague memory of that. He looked so familiar last night but I couldn't quite place him!

I have such a hard time keeping up with everything. I've watched Lost from Day 1, but haven't seen those early episodes since they first aired. I can never remember what's happened!

Yea, I was wondering too, until they mentioned activating the implant.

I remember Claire thinking that someone was trying to get her, before Ethan actually kidnapped her in season 1. The other Losties thought it was nightmares, but now I think that it was Ethan sneaking in and giving her the shot. I can't remember if she'd wake up and stay awake afterwards or if she just remembered them in the morning. Either way is plausible. Ethan could have combined the shot with a tranquilizer to put her back to sleep quickly, or he could have snuck back out really quickly. Remember how super-human the others seemed, inaudible footsteps, sneaking in and kidnapping people and disappearing with no one nearby hearing or seeing a thing?

Yes according to the timeline I checked she gave birth on the island and spent one week with her baby before the others took her.
Hmm, that's interesting. Then Claire isn't the first to give birth on the island and live, as they said last night. The others have to know Danielle is still alive. :scratchin

Goodwin! :thumbsup2

I thought about that last night and think it's possible that they have not told Juliet about Danielle and Alex. Juliet has only been there 3 years so maybe they felt she only needed to know the "here and now" to fix their problem and not Island history. One gets the impression that Ben is not completely honest with anyone. Rumor has it that Danielle will be a part of the last 5 episodes so maybe we'll be able to tell by Juliet's reaction to Danielle.

Wow that was a great episode. It's so funny how we all think alike too! So many of you have brought up thoughts that I had too!

Anyone who stopped watching the show, should be kicking themselves now. the last few episodes have been GREAT and it looks like they're gonna be even better.

Nice catch with the Danielle thing. Maybe that's why Ben has kept Alex so close to him. He could have let any of the others be parents, but he choose to do it...

I agree, good show. Very interesting seeing their monitors. They obviously have quite an outside world connection, with people out there who are part of the whole thing. Wonder if that station was really their only way to communicate. If so, the real world people should now know they've been cut off and should be doing something about that.

And hmmm. Ben said "See you in a week."

Wonder what their plan is?

And I'm suddenly seeing the actor who played the medical company recruiter, the guy I call "Natural Eyeliner Guy", everywhere! He was just on a House rerun I'd never seen this week, and some other show I just saw, can't remember which.

Looking forward to next week!!

Natural eyeliner guy!:rotfl: Do you think that guy has that eyeliner tattoo stuff? During his scenes, it was difficult to get past the eyes.

I agree. Lost will eventually get really popular again and the people who stopped watching will be...lost.

And that's a good thought about Alex. Most of the others probably don't know that she was born there. I hope that the Ben-centric episode will answer how and when he got to the island and how he got Alex. Alex may not even know that she was actually born on the island. I'm wondering about Carl now too. He seemed to be the only other teenager among the others. Most of them seem to be there for a reason, but why would they have a teenager?

Who was Kate making out with in the previews? I rewound 10 times & I can not tell.

Much to my dismay I believe it is Sawyer! If you look at the shirt in the preview and then the shirt he is wearing in last nights episode it is the same shirt.....at least to me.

I've been trying to watch it online since 8am!! It's still not updated, the most recent one is the episode from 4/4...................I can't wait, heard it was a good one.

This is about an old episode, but with some info that I just found.

I had been wondering why Tricia Tanaka (the reporter that got killed when the meteorite crashed into the Mr. Cluck's that Hurley had just bought, got an episode named after her ("Tricia Tanaka Is Dead" from February 28).

Then I just saw this:

"In simple numerology, the name Tricia Tanaka gives the values 20, 18, 9, 3, 9, 1, 20, 1, 14, 1, 11, 1 which sum up to 108, the sum of the numbers."

This is the same episode where Hurley "makes his own luck" by getting the old van to run. Could saying Tricia Tanaka is dead signify that the bad luck that followed the numbers is also dead?

Why, for the love of God, does no one listen to Sayid? He is the only one who is right the vast majority of the time. It just drives me nuts.

But other than that, good ep :)

The other thing that bothers me is the info they find out. How would they have known that Sawyer killed someone right before he got on the plane? He was never arrested for it and there were no witnesses. He certainly didn't tell anyone. I just don't know how they could possibly know that. I wonder if Sawyer was given some kind of truth serum when he was captured and they asked him questions like, "have you killed anyone?". I hope they explain how they get the details on the Losties.

Come on, they watched the flashbacks like the rest of us :rotfl2:

Was that the episode of House with the boy that had Leprosy?

Nice! I think we'll hear a lot more about Hurley's luck. The episode didn't give us an aswer either way.

ITA!!!! It's SO annoying! Though you gotta admit that Juliet's whole point about the "morale police" was spot on.

I think there are a couple of other possibilies. The showed footage of Juliet's sister and i know they had a reason to watch her, but what if the company has a HUGE big brother thing going on and they can watch anybody at anytime. it's a stretch to think they could go back and find old footage of all the Losties though. Whatever the answer, I'm sure it has to do with the big powerful company knowing every move you make.

Well I'll tell ya, it sure shut Sawyer up like not much else I've seen!
