LOST SEASON 3 **Official** Discussion/Speculation Thread (No Spoilers)

Putting Kate in a dress and having her take the sad subservient role AND make Jack look like the Jerk from Heck says A LOT about who will end up with who.

In the past Kate was the tough, strong one and Jack was the "hero". It seems this show is trying to change their images for something in the near future.

Right. And remember the first night on the island, there was that loud metallic/monstrous roar and trees were pushed aside. As if there was a very large animal/monster out in the jungle. That would surely keep me from exploring too far away from the beach.

Yeah, and whatever beast it was that grabbed the pilot out of the cockpit of the front of the plane! :earseek:

Did anyone notice the title of the Stephen King book? I missed it. figured maybe it had something to do with the plot.
the one thing I can't grasp is the hostility the "others" have against the plane people. and what ever happened to the 2 children they kidnapped from the plane crash the first day?
why did they want the plane people to think they were heathens??

weird.

oh...Kate's wrist's looked a little too bruised for just wearing the handcuffs...they must have done something to her. She looked scared..which is new for her.

Okay, I can't get anywhere near the Fuselage site before it times out so it seems to be where everyone is talking about Lost. I have read through a lot of the other sites out there and the most interesting thing I have found is on the official ABC Lost site if you go to the pictures section for season three you will find a picture of Jack in the Hydra station. He is lying on his back and I think its after Julliete knocked him out. In the picture there is a nine or ten year old girl sitting in the room with him. My question is, is it the girl he rescued in the park? Or is it one of the children from the tail section. When Sayids girlfriend (can't remember her name, the blond that got shot) saw visions of Walt, he was wet. Could it be that he was also at the Hydra station and communicating telepathicly with her. So is Hydra the station where they experiment with telepathy? So many questions, so few answers, I both love and despise this show for what it puts me through.

I miss those aspects of the show, I enjoyed the supernatural/Sci-Fi stuff. I wasn't thrilled with the season finale and after last night I'm quickly losing my love for Lost. Oh well.

I'm getting concerned that Lost is going to get so bogged down in its own mythology that we'll never get the answers to some of the things they tossed at us first season. Kind of like what happened to the X-Files and, to a lesser extent, Buffy the Vampire Slayer during its last season.

I just wonder if the writers are somehow keeping track of all these hints and clues and back stories.... do they have a master plan? Can they possibly tie it all together?

I didn't even notice the girl there. I'll have to check it out.

What does subscribing to a thread do? how do you do it?

and where was the American Express extra info...on the amex website or the Lost website. I can't find it.

thanks

So far, I think the writers are doing an excellent job of keeping a tight storyline going. Nothing that has happened expands the story. Rather, things simply explain one thing while opening up more questions. They're extending the story, not expanding it.

thanks

Click on "thread tools" and then a small menu will scroll down. Then you will see "subscribe to thread", click on that and you will then get e-mail notifications as to when someone posts something new to the thread. Also, it will help you find the thread easily by going to your "User Cp" and clicking on subscribed threads and all of your subscribed threads will be there, you don't have to go searching through pages of posts to find it.

perfect, thanks

Ok, I just looked at the photo with the girl and Jack. I didn't even see that when watching the show. Did anyone notice her while watching? Unfortunately I erased my DVR and I can't re-watch it.

I'm at work but as soon as I get home I'm looking to see if the girl was there in that scene. I you looked at the pictures it seemed there were some others that were not included in the show. Like the ones of the two men grabbing Kate away from the table on the beach. If you look at those it almost seems that that could be the explaination for the marks on her wrists. They were literally lifting her by the cuffs.

anyone have any imput on kate and jack having blood drawn? Also do could the boy in the cage be one of the children taken in the beginning or has not enough time lapsed for him to be that old.

I hate watching because its one of those love hate things I am soo hooked I think about it lots the next day and try to analyze

if the Others are stranded, too, or if they are willing participants and conductors in these experiments.

This is from TVGuide.com and I think it is a bit of both. I really think that other than the food showing up in drops, those people have no connection to the outside world. I think that something happened, the quarentine maybe, to cause the Dharma Initiative to "abandon" the projects. And we don't know what has happened to Michael and Walt, they could have been given directions to something that would destroy them.

Other than his education and where he worked, what did Juliette really tell Jack that could not have been something he told someone on the island. She said she had his fathers autopsy but didn't tell him anything pertaining to it and she only told him that his ex was happy. He told her that he was married once and that his father died. I think it was designed to break him down.

Could be they are looking for someone who has a resistance to whatever caused the "quarentine". Remember Danielle said that when she and her people on the ship got there they started to get sick.

My DH's theory is that they wrote it backwards, from the end to the beginning. So he believes "yes".
