LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

Poor Sayid, he'll be heartbroken. Was Walt's talk backwards before? What was he saying before then. And what were the words everybody was hearing? That wasn't all Walt was it?

I'm not shocked that it was Shannon either. I heard rumors that it was going to be a female. I guess that she was most expendible. But poor Sayid. And right after he told her that he loved her. At least someone said that to her once in her life before she died, huh?

Anna is not gathering many friends now, is she? I wouldn't be surprised if they all left her alone to the "others".

Was Walt talking backwards again? Anyone play it it reverse yet? :confused3

I've been trying to figure out what he said, too. :confused3

Man! I kept saying all along that I wouldn't care much if Shannon went, but then Sayid had to go tell her he loved her and now I'm really ticked! I'm such a sucker for romance and I got sooo excited- now what is there? Charlie and Claire will never happen, and Kate and Jack, I doubt it. I think there maybe something between Sawyer and Ana Lucia, but I hate her so it's not going to be any fun. Sci-fi Schmi-fi, gimme romance! :rotfl: And just think- I hate all that romantic stuff IRL!

Don't you think Kate really deep-down likes Sawyer? Remember the scene when she was trying to read what Sawyer wrote on his note in the bottle?

In Shannon's flash back, her step-mom really ticked me off!!!

What is meant by next week being an "extended version?" Is it an expanded version of last night's episode, or a two hour episode? Can someone explain?

Next week we get an extended episode!!! And don't forget, there is a secret scene tommorow on GMA!

I caught the scene on GMA this morning, but I missed the last line, since I was in a noisy place. Can someone clue me in? Thanks.

I have no doubt that Ana Lucia shot her, but I do have a problem with the believability of her doing it. As anyone knows, Ana Lucia was a NYC police officer. They are constantly trained on be able to distinguish between a perp and an innocent. Assuming she had the gun out to defend against the others, she would not have pulled the trigger so quickly. Even assuming that Shannon was running toward her, she was not threatening anyone. Or am I over-analayzing it? :)

The evil step mother asked Shannon when she would be leaving or moving out. Sorry that I don't remember which word she used.

I think that Ana Lucia is out of her mind with fear. I think shes in a shoot first ask questions later mentality. (JMHO)

I agree. She's trying to come across as tough, but they've been traumatized. Those voices caused her to panic! Her wits are shot (sorry for the pun). I'm really looking forward to next week to see what really happened to them.

Amy :)

The ending was pretty dramatic....especially after Sayid declared his love for Shannon and said he would never leave her! When Walt visited Shannon in the tent he did talk backwards and he said "They are coming. They are close." Since next week is an episode about the tallies, I do not think we will see a Sayid/Ana Lucia confrontation for another week! Hope I am wrong!!

I think it's sad that they killed off Shannon now we will no longer see boone flashbacks. When he died I thought oh well at least we will see him in her flashbacks. Now what? :earseek:

I don't get it either. I just checked the TV listings for next week and it shows the episode in its normal 9:00pm to 10:00pm EST time slot.

Help for the TIVO-less......
Has anyone figured out what was being whispered last night??

DH was snacking on tortilla chips, so needless to say I couldn't hear a thing!

Was anyone else distracted by Boone's hair in this episode? I couldn't get over how much he looked like Rob Lowe at times!

Suzi

I don't think the Others' whispering is decipherable. I don't think it has every been deciphered - and we have had quite a few chances in past episodes if it were.

But, Walt's is decipherable, since his is just played backwards in the show.

As the poster said above, I agree. (This is what I posted on the spoiler board:)

"Ok, I got it -- I know what Walt said when he first came into the tent and showed himself to Shannon (when Sayid left to get water). We all know he said something cryptic and also know it was played backwards. I finally got a .wav clip from my friend who reversed the recording. And Walt CLEARLY says, "They're coming...and they're close."

As far as the extended version goes, my TIVO still has it set for an hour. I'm going to go ahead and record the hour after it too. It could just mean that there aren't as many commercials. But, they usually say "limited commercial interruptions" so who knows.

Maybe next week will be like when they used to "supersize" Friends. There was like an extra 10 minutes or so. :confused3

I stayed away from spoilers so I was surprised that they killed off Shannon. I was toatally getting into the Sayid-Shannon "romance" too.

Can someone post what happened in the GMA extra scene?

Thanks!!
