LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

I sorta watched Lost last year. Got busy with work and kept up with it thru the threads......but I sat there last night and watched every second! Wow! I am hooked, hooked, hooked.......and I'm at WDW next week so I hope nothing happens to the VCR. I need TIVO!

Walt was CREEPY last night! At first I thought he was covered in blood not water.

I cannot wait until next Wednesday! The preview looks awesome!

I couldn't make out what Walt said. I thought he said something like "Trust no one" but even with the volume way up I'm still not sure. If it was something about pushing a button, I wonder if it's related to Jack almost pushing the button on that old computer.

I mentioned on the other thread that maybe Walt was using his apparent psychic abilities to send a message to someone. Maybe he appeared wet because something happened to the Others' boat and Walt ended up in the water.

Another number catch -- Shannon's father/Mr. Rutherford in the flashback died at 8:15.

Only that he was in the Navy when he heard the numbers and that Hurley was checked into the same hopsital at some point. That stuff came out when Hurley said he used the numbers to play the lottery and the guy came out of his psychotic trance.

Also, the guy he got the numbers from lived in Australia and played the numbers in a game of some sort and won, then bad things started to happen to him as well. Hurley tracked him wife down there and met the guys wife who told him the story of where he got the numbers, that is why Hurley was in AU.

Wow, missed that! But, it makes sense since the numbers are on the hatch door too...the "quarantined" inhabitants have to inject themselves for some reason.

I don't think it's too unbelievable that Jack recognized Desmond. Though their initial meeting was short, psychologically it's tied to memorable events (his twisted ankle and the miracle of Sara not being paralyzed). Throw in his accent and his use of the word "brother" and it would click fast.

That was a terrible wig though!

I agree a terrible wig. I'm sure it will come out that it was Jack's wife that hit Shannon's father. Although, we don't know yet whether or not Jack actually married her. I too wish we could have seen Locke and Kate's reaction to Desmond. I'm wondering if we'll even see them next week, I think they may be concentrating on the raft next week.

Great show!

I turned it on 30 seconds or so late and was wondering if I missed Lost. The whole beginning with the guy (took me a minute to realize it was inside the Hatch). During the entire show I was thinking WTH constantly and trying to figure it out. Looks like its going to be one amazing season.

Subscribing... I posted all my theories on the old thread but none of them were unique, most have been mentioned here too. I too am a huge fan of Jack's wig! It was soo distracting!

Same reason there was light in the cave after it caved in on Jack. JJ said let there be light.

It's probably just lights on the other side to simulate outside lights. It appeared he was up doing all his "morning" routine when the hatch was blown. Maybe he has been down there so long his time is off or he is on a differant time zone than the Island.

I am confused about the female patient and what happened. Her last name was Rutherford and she had a fiance?? If so, how could that be Shannon's mother? Because...wouldn't she take her fiances last name and then Shannon would have the finace (her dad's) last name? But then again I don't know if they implied that the fiance left or not.

As far as the guy who was in the crash, I thought Jack just had to choose which one he would operate on....who was the guy? Just someone random?

I'm going to have to rewatch the episode because I am confused.

Love the show though! The characters just get confusing.

The guy in the crash was Adam (?) Rutherford, nost likely Shannon's father. The woman was Sarah, Jack's future wife.

Thanks! That was his wife?? I didn't even know he was married....oh wait! Yeah I remember when Jack was thinking about not gettting married, but then he did. Sigh I'll have to rewatch the DVD's when they arrive!

Jeez they need to make Cliff's Notes for this show to sum up each episode! LOL!
