Wasn't there a connection between Sawyer and Hurley - Didn't they show Sawyer sleeping with the woman that was the lottery hostess that showed the numbers that Hurley won with? (And isn't she also Michael's wife in real life?)

Also don't forget Sawyer was brought into the police station in Australia when Boone was there trying to do something about Shannon and her latest boyfriend.

And doesn't Locke work for the box company that Hurley just recently bought?

Does anyone else feel like they need to tape the shows and watch them about 3 times to make sure they get everything??!!

I obviously don't pay enough attention, good thing you guys do and can fill me in on what I miss!

Oh yeah, with all my shows I don't delete them from TIVO until they've been thoroughly discussed. Of course, with Lost, it's never finished being discussed.

As for missing stuff, I wouldn't worry about it. There are several DISers whose second job is investigating this show.

My DH won the first season's DVD collection! and just finished re-watching the first disc. whew! Sure do love watching it over..........I forgot about Locke and talking to "Helen" . He was only a customer!!! (phone talk)......I forgot about that scene! This is soooo cool. My DS18 watched to WHOLE set in like a day and half (yikes) and now LOVES the show.

Didn't Sun want a baby?? Maybe Jin was taking her to LA to adopt a baby. Maybe her father was paying for the baby with the Rolex watch?? Claire was going to LA to have a couple adopt her baby maybe Sun/Jin.

In the painting on the wall (in the hatch), there is a 108 IN the sun, and 108 UNDER the sun. I think that is very significant but I don't know why!

108 is the sum of Hurley's numbers, they were on the hatch and on Desmonds medicine vial as well. He inputed the numbers into the computer before hitting execute also. This show is great, so much detail.

Actually I started typing that in jest, but now I'm wondering what significance it has.

My theory about Kate's background -- anyone remember the movies "Arlington Road" and "Running on Empty"? I think Kate's family were fugitives and on the run for one reason or another, and she wanted a regular life, much like River Phoenix's character in the latter movie.

Interesting coincidence -- "Running on Empty" also starred Christine Lahti, who played a character on Chicago Hope named Kathryn "Kate" Austin, one of the names we've heard for Kate so far.

It seems like we "met" the father of Claire's baby in her flashback. I think she was quite a ways into her pregnancy when he told her he couldn't and left. Now, I don't remember what he looked like. Some of those with Season 1 may be able to help.

The only connection we have seen with Sayid, is when he asked Shannon to watch his bags for him before they got on the plane and then she told a security guard that she saw an Arab leave his bags unattended, which then led to Sayid being questioned.

Ya, she is nasty. I cant stand her. I wish Boone was still around, not her. But I guess they needed another female, since the main cast has more men in it then women...

I swear hatch guy says his name is DesmonD.

He also says "see you in another life brother" and before that argues with Jack about what if he fixed the girl (forgot her name) asking if he (jack) believed in miracles. I think it all ties in somehow. That is not a random conversation.

I also figured out how the bright light shoots up from the hatch. It's reflecting off the mirror.

Also... In the beginning of the show when we see Desmon(d) getting up and ready it's light outside. At the end of the show the control room has it looking dark outside. But only a few hours had past and the sun did not rise yet (Jack said the sun would rise in 3 hours). I think that's important. The hatch is underground, we have no idea how big the island is and all we know is they were 1000 miles off course when they crashed. We assume they were flying in the correct direction to begin with but it's nothing more than assumption.

I started watching this summer to see all the hype! I was wishy washy about it until the season opener, now I think I am hooked!

Please tell me where I can learn about Claire's background, I think that must have been one of the episodes they skipped this summer. Shame on them!

I am subscribing as I need to go watch Desperate Housewives and can't read all 10 pages now!!

They were going to LA to deliver the watch, she was supposed to leave him in the Sydney airport and run away. He was going to LA and then he was going to take Sun and do the same thing. In the airport a man came up to him in the bathroom and warned him not to.
