Okay...my magic bands arrived today and they are linked to my park tickets. BUT I have lost one of my military wdw pass. Since it is linked to magic band will it be a problem?

It's not linked to your magic band. It's linked to your MDE account. Once it is linked, you don't need the physical ticket anymore, so you are good to go.

We just got back using military tix, and while our tix were linked to our account and I made fastpasses etc., you still had to activate the tix by actually going to guest relations. I'm sure there would be a way to still do this without the physical tix, but just wanted to make sure you knew to go to guest relations before trying to enter a park.

You don't need the physical tickets to activate them. You can show the barcode on your phone app. Besides, not all military tickets need to be activated.

I'm assuming you had the little paper-ish certificates for the military Salute tickets and basing my answer off that fact.

Bring your whole party, their MagicBands, the certificates you haven't lost, and a military ID belonging to at least 1 party member per 6 tickets to any ticket window or any Guest Relations location anywhere on property. Let us know you've misplaced one of the certificates but that you've linked them all on MDX with your MagicBands. Any halfway competent CM should be able to activate all the tickets with just the MagicBands assuming the linking was done correctly.

Nope I had actual cards not paper certificates. I ordered them from Shades of Green. I had them on my messy desk while linking up to MDE and choosing FP. Apparently 1 did not make it back. I have 1 annual pass, 2 ten day passes, 2 three day passes and 6 military passes.

That was weeks ago and I leave on June 13 and was double checking stuff and saw one was missing.

I have 2 cards linked to me, one military since I am the ID holder and my annual pass.

I called tech to help me link my passes so the military one is used first. The military one has the plus passes that I need for Typhoon Lagoon. The AP does not. I think that is when I misplaced it. Luckily it was not my AP.

If you ordered them from SoG, you will be okay. They are already activated. We just went in January and it was the first time we purchased them already activated from SoG, and it was a breeze. We just scanned our bands and walked right in the park.

In the past we purchased them from MWR and had the exchange tickets, which needed to be activated with the service member present.

Have a great trip!

Just want to say thank you to you and your family for all you do to help protect our country.

Have a great trip!

Is your AP already activated? Or you are waiting until after this trip to activate?

Sorry to semi-hijack the thread, but hoping y'all can answer this.

My dad is retired from the Navy, so he is eligible for the Salute tickets and SOG. However, he is 83 and really has no interest in going. Can my step-mom, his current spouse, order tickets via phone from SOG and be the one to accompany my wife, my son, and myself down there? What kind of ID will she need? I thought I had read that spouses can be the sponsor in lieu of the retired service member.

And, if we order from SOG, they are already activated? We could get a room somewhere else and just show up when we are ready to use the tickets after linking them in MDE?

If your step mom has a valid ID card, then yes, she can order and go with you. I've gone without my husband once, and he is retired.

Great, thank you!!

Follow up question. My father in law is a Veteran, but not retired. I know he can get a small discount on tickets, but where would he do that? Can he call SOG for those as well? I know he's eligible to stay at SOG in Jan and Sept I think, but he might want to take my son during the summer, so trying to figure out how he can save a few bucks on tickets.

Sorry, I don't know the ins and outs of non-vets. You might check with Steve over at Disney military tips: http://www.militarydisneytips.com/
