I am REALLY hoping someone can help me with this. We went to Disney for 12 days in December and, since it was our longest trip, we bought the memory maker. 328 pictures later, we got home, anxious to see our photos. I loved many of them, but just to be sure we got what we paid for, I downloaded all of them to my computer. It required one download per day of the trip and took over 30 minutes.

I later kept getting notices that my pictures were going to expire, but I had already downloaded them all so I didn't worry.

Last night, I went to post one on Facebook and ALL of my pictures are gone from my computer. The release form is still there, but over 300 pictures have disappeared. Has this ever happened to anyone before. Did I do something wrong? Do they only "download" to the photo pass site and then disappear later? I noticed I had a number of errors while I was doing it, but I did see a folder with all of my Jpegs and videos in it.

My husband works with computers for a living, so we have looked EVERYWHERE on the computer (downloads, pictures, documents, etc) and they are nowhere to be found.

I feel so sick I want to throw up. These were from a holiday trip that will never be replicated and, since we bought memory maker, we took no pictures of our own. My boys will soon be in college and they won't want to keep posing with Mickey to get new pictures, nor can I afford a "make-up" trip.

Has anyone had anything like this happen before? Are they zipped somewhere and I can't see them? Is there any point in contacting Disney? Can they ever replace them, or maybe at least the exorbitant amount of money I now paid for nothing? Help!

If you reach out to the customer support team through your MDE account, somebody will contact you and they will help you. Had a similar situation and they were very helpful. Just have your magicband ID number handy when you reach out to them.

I will contact them. I know that their records keep pictures a little longer. On our last trip we had some pictures missing so we went to the photopass store at the park, when I tapped my magic band all the pictures from our nov trip came up, they were supposed to be expired for a while.

Memory maker people are very helpful and many people report success with finding lost photos. I'm so sorry this happened, and as Maleficent says, if you go to the "contact us" info in the Memory Maker section of MDE and call, hopefully they can help you. With the downloads, it is a 2-step process - first you select all the photos and say "download", which puts them into zip files in the "My downloads" tab in Memory Maker. Then you have to select each zip file and download those to your computer. Since you mention zip files and that you have the waiver on your computer, it sounds like you must have done both steps. If your husband, the computer guy, can't find them, I'm sure there was some sort of download error and hopefully MM support can help!!

I had an incident with my photos as well, though it was my entire computer with the photos downloaded on it that died (and they had been there). I didn't have them burned to disk or stored anywhere else yet! Anyway, it was a couple of months after the photos expired...they were pictures from MNSSHP and the computer died in January sometime. I called PP immediately, and they were able to retrieve ALL of them, originals and edits! They said they were on some other server and that if it had been a couple of days later they would have been deleted permanently. So, call them. They may really be able to help!
