I know many of us parents would say loosing a kid would never happen to us. Oh was I wrong when my parents and I lost my nephew one night and he was old enough to remember what my dad was wearing to help find us and all.

My son is only 2.5 years old and can't do that. Is there a trick to do weather a bracelet we can put on him or something for the just in case kind of moment. We were going to put one of our phone numbers on his magic band but we were thinking if there is something else where we can add other information.

I found an under 2 year old in Epcot last week. I picked him up and took him inside the store he was outside of in the Norway pavilion at Epcot to inform a cast member. I took his MagicBand off to see his name printed on the inside. Another cast member went outside to look for any parents that seem to be distressed. We found his family in less than five minutes. They were very grateful!

We use safety tats for ours girls when we go to wdw. It has our names and cell phone numbers on them. We put it on the inside of their arm. Each tat last about two days even with swimming and sunscreen

We also did safety tats our first Disney trip when my boys were 2 and 5. They lasted 4 days for us with swimming and sunscreen. Another option is a road id that attaches to their shoe. It is best if the kiddo can tell an adult where the information is. I have always instructed my boys to find an employee if they get separated from us. We go over it whenever we get somewhere and I point out what employees are wearing. It is easy to spot the Disney name tags.

one tip make sure you take a picture of your son each morning and again if he changes clothes so you can show CM what he is wearing without having to rely on your memory. they may have already found your child but if child is not wearing what you say will take longer for you to be taken to your child. this has happened at small park I work at. security had child but because child was not wearing what mom said she was not taken to him until security was she was mom. mom was very upset with security until he said would you have rather we had given him to the first person who said they were his parent?

Thats is a GREAT idea. Because when we lost my nephew I don't think any of us really could remember what he was wearing cause we were just looking for him and trying not to loose my son.

We have little silicone colored bracelets that my kids have worn every since we lost my DS at 5 at Disneyland (he decided to stop and shop and didn't tell us lol - it was really only 3 or 4 mins. that I didn't know where he was - he could see us lol, but that was enough for me). For a 2 year old though, I'd put it on his ankle, that way he won't be able to take it off easily or have it fall off. We've been using them for kids ages 1-12...at 12 he decided he really didn't want to wear it anymore and really by then he was fine. I will say last Sept. I lost my dd (9) for a couple mins during the halloween party. My DS was not feeling well, so we were heading out, but she wanted to do one of the Trick-or-Treat lines that was on our way, so I said she could and waited with DS. Well I didn't realize that that line did not end where it began, so that was a little stressful for about 5 mins., but we found her and she had her band/bracelett on just in case.

We arrived one year to much larger than anticipated crowds and no lost kid plans. I simply took a sharpie and wrote my cellphone number in the white sole part of his shoe. At four he knew our number but I was afraid he might get shy or upset and forget. We showed him CMs and told him to find one and show him his shoe if we got lost.

and hope CM has a phone. at small park I work at we can not have cell phones in park. this could get you fired. not sure if it is different at Disney. ps phone in stand is in park only no outside line at my park

There was a whole thread on this the other day with lots of good tips.

Safety tats
Magic band decals with your cell on etsy
Dog tags with your info
Id tags tied to their shoelaces. Some people went to petsmart and used the machine

Safety tattoos are a wonderful thing. I also use them on my daughter. OP you have them personalized for your child. Allergies, ph#, etc...
