Lost & Found: The Great Pressed Penny Mystery

I'm new to this side of the boards, so forgive me if this needs to be moved. I was looking for an "active" place to post in the hopes of getting the word out.

We recently returned home from a great first trip to WDW. After a couple days and finally getting to unpacking, we discovered an amazing stowaway in one bag: A collection of pressed pennies!

We have no idea how it got there. We do not have little kids who might have found them without saying anything. This was zipped into an exterior pocket that we never use. Our only guess/theory is that the collection got loose at Bell Services, or baggage handling at the airport, and made it's way into our bag by mistake.

So we know this is a needle in a haystack. But, who doesn't love a good mystery? Someone worked hard on collecting these. If you have any ideas or happen to read something in a Trip Report or a FB Group... we'd be happy to connect with the owner.

I would call the hotel you stayed at to see if anyone reported it as being lost.

If it was somehow misplaced during baggage screening, then I'm guessing it will be a lot harder to re-unite it with the owner.
Still, worth a call to your airline's lost luggage number.

I also suggest you contact the hotel/resort and the airline.

There is chance they might be reunited with the owner.
