LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I think that the plane may have been put in the deposit box by Tom's wife and the only way Kate could get it was to break in and get it. Kate killing her father is too logical and this show is anything but that. Of course that is probably exactly what happened.

also got chills during the scene between Locke and Walt. And again when Walt said they had to leave! Poor kid...he knows too much for his own good.

Was it mentioned earlier in the season that Walt has ESP? I would love to see the first few shows again.

I like the fact that ABC (Disney) gave 2 of the characters, the names of Walt (son) and Mickey (father)

I was thinking this very thing... After hearing the tape of Kate and Tom when they were younger, my thoughts turned to that maybe she was being abused somehow by her father.. or maybe her mother was...dunno.. anyway, I thought maybe Kate ended up killing him and that's why her mom freaked out when seeing her. :confused3

Walt's dad is Michael, but I think someone did call him Mickey tonight (or was it Mikey, i dunno)
Anyway, on Michael's flashback episode Walt's stepfather told Michael that Walt was special and things happened when he was around.

Ya know, I almost forgot, did I see an old mickey mouse in the backseat of the car when Kate looked back at the plane before she got out and ran? I'll to rewind and check it out!

Okay, I just looked at it again and I swear that's an old mickey mouse on the seat...all the way towards the left of the screen. Anyone else see it?

That exactly what I thought! That she was abused by her father and ended up killing him. I guess we've seen this story line too many times before on TV.

I guess that's what it has to be, maybe her mother is afraid of her because she didn't know what was going on and just thinks her daughter is a killer

But isn't she a killer? Someone refresh my memory about what happened in the bank. Didn't she kill that guy as well?

Last 15 or so minutes badly needed please? Weather alerts ruined it yet again

I really did not like this episode. Definitely the worst flashback ever and S-O S-L-O-W. Plus, everything seemed so contrived (like Kate and "Diane" who was so obviously her mom).

I'm so sick of Kate and Jack. Okay, to be brutally honest, I hate them. Jack's all "you didn't check with me first" and Kate's all "everyone should constantly feel sorry for me" and it's like this in every single episode. And Jack with his "no one can keep secrets around here but me" attitude. He is so quick to pass judgment on everyone, but he deemed it "okay" that Sun only tried to poison her husband just enough to make him sick for a day or two. Puh-leeze. Can we have some flashbacks that aren't about these unsympathetic time suckers?

Nice New Kids on the Block lunchbox "time capsule" though. :rotfl:

Just some thoughts and some questions:

Wonder who sent the letter and money to Kate (at the beginning of the show) telling her Diane/mom was dying of cancer.

Why is she calling her mom Diane?

Only land south of them is Antarctica. Antarctica = polar bears

Sawyer did call Michael Mickey.

The whole scene with Kate and her mom was strange. Kate told Tom she "owed" it to her mother to come see her. Then when they first saw each other and the mom said Katie it is the kind of scene you would expect from a dying mother who sees her long lost child. Then all of a sudden her face twists up and she's calling for help. It just doesn't make sense. Did she forget about what Kate did for a minute and then suddenly realize, or did she think Kate was someone else? Was the police guard in case Kate showed up or did the mother need protection from someone. If I were trying to catch a fugitive, I'd have an undercover policeman posing as a nurse or something, not sitting outside the door. Those cops are usually for the patient's protection or when the patient is the criminal.

I guess Tom was going to run away with Kate when he wouldn't get out of the car.

If Michael knows Walt is special, why doesn't he just ask them where they are :teeth: ?

The previews for next week look great. Apparantly there were different previews (or added scenes) in Canada. Rousseau told them the others were coming for the baby and that they took her baby Alex (Sandy or another Canadian please correct me if I'm wrong on the wording).

The best I can remember is she wounded the other robbers. I don't know for sure if she killed any of them.

Kate only wounded the guys at the bank, shot most of them in the knees I believe. Yes, I saw Mickey in the backseat too LOL. If the safe deposit box was Tom's wifes, how did Kate get the key? She had the key when she opened the box.

DH and I also said Sayid is the only one with brains right now.

I found it odd that everyone just turned on Kate like that. Everyone on that island has secrets, some worse than others. She has never hurt or threatened any of them, and they all just walked away from her.

Yeah, I thought it was a bit over the top how quickly they turned on her when she had been good to all of them, even delivering a baby for Claire. And especially for a former heroin addict who stole from his girlfriend. Uh, people go to jail for that, too, Charley. But you go ahead and cast that first stone.

I was a little bored with tonight's episode and last week's too
Hoping it heats up for the next too
I want to spend the summer waiting for more :cool1:

Did anyone see Regis and Kelly at WDW with Kate......she said that the monster is definitely not a dinosaur........but we will get a glimpse of it on the last show.............

Also if anyone is interested, Shelby is a real county here in Ohio.
Its located on the far left side of the state located about the middle way down. The numbers were DPN924A

I loved that touch because it meant they show is paying attention to details.

Here in Ohio they used to put your county on your plate (ie Shelby), but they haven't done it for years. So to me, an Ohioan, it showed that it was really in the past, not current. The details are great!!

It's my understanding that the bank scene happens after the hospital scene, right? So, Kate is a fugitive before the bank scene.

She obviously leaves the little plane in the car, but it ends up later in the deposit box. How did she know it was there? Who sent her the letter about her mother?

I'm also leaning toward the idea that she grew up in an abusive household, and she may have retaliated, hence why she's sneaking around the hospital as a fugitive. Seems obvious though.

Her mother looked pretty bad...does chemotherapy take a toll like that?

So, an hour show next week and the two week finale the week after...I think we're going to spend the summer with lots of unanswered questions!

Amy :)
