LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

I agree. Especially since Boone said he felt "relieved" when he saw Shannon dead. Now both Locke and Boone give me the creeps!!

And did you see the Polar bear popping up again next episode! This just gets stranger and stranger!

Locke doesn't give me the creeps - I agree with Charlie - he's the one person out there that can save them all. My husband actually figured the Boone/Shannon thing by saying that Boone was always Shannon's fall back guy. When ever she needed something she would use the feelings she knew he had for her to "rescue" her. Her sleeping with him just solidified the hold she had on him. Locke wanted him to give up his less the pure feelings for Shannon and the self-hatred he had for having them. Locke helped Charlie over his herion addiction, looks like next week he helps the father and son get past whatever problems they have. Remember Locke went to Australia to go on an Aborignal walkabout...he's been studying this kind of stuff for years getting read - he's got the spiritual thing down and is now trying to help the rest ;)

Wow, what a show tonight! :earseek: I sure wish we would get a FEW answers, instead of more and more questions. And since they showed Sawyer being brought into the police station when Boone was there, wanna bet at some point there's going to be a connection between Boone and Sawyer? Geez, this just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

And what's with running past 9:00? It started right at 8:00, but wasn't over until 9:05. I hate when they do that!!

What a great show tonight !!!! but I still feel so frustrated that we never get an answer !!! I get to the point that I forget alot of the questions that need answering !!

okay let me ask this

So the creature and shannons death was imagined by Boone.
Does this mean that the back flashes that happened while he was imagining these things also were imagined too?

Nope, I think they really got it on :earseek:

HELP!!!!! The end got cut off. I got up to the point where Boone found out that he hallucinated and was talking to Locke about it. What did they say? And what's happening next week? I'm so sick of these shows running over their time slots. TIVO stops taping at 8:01 and it still got cut off. Grrrr.....

Otherwise, great show! I kept wondering how Shannon got tied up in the jungle. I thought that it had to be some sort of dream. Well, I completely forgot about that by the time they showed her dead at the creek. I couldn't believe they "killed" her off. LOL!!

Aaarrrrgggghhhhh! My mind is racing faster than my fingers can type! I was on such an emotional rollercoaster tonight. I knew as soon as Boone was sitting in the police station and the cop said "so you're not blood-related" that this was heading towards Cruel Intentions. I hope they show Shannon's side sooner than later because it always adds a little more light to what's really going on.

The whole Boone/Locke thing is just creepy. I used to really like Locke but I feel like something has changed with him since his creature incounter many weeks ago. It's like he has some sort of insight into the island.

I do like how they managed to get most of the characters some airtime tonight. The whole Hurley and Jin scene was priceless! I'm starting to think that Jin can speak English too, anyone else agree?

I'll think of more later but I want to read what everyone else has to say too!!!

Locke asked Boone how it made him feel when he saw Shannon dead. Boone said he felt relieved. Locke said yes, time to let go. Boone thought about it, Locke got up and said follow me. Boone looked at Shannon then followed Locke and the screen went dark.
Previews of next week: The polar bear is back and hungry for Walt. Michael gets mad at Locke for spending time with Walt. Michael wants to build a raft to get off the island. Someone took Claire's diary and Charlie and Sawyer get in a fight over the diary.

Locke: Is that what it made you see?

Boone: What made me see? The stuff you put on my head, you drugged me

Locke: I gave you an experience that I will believe was vital to your survival on the island.

Boone: It wasnt real?

Locke: It was only as real as you made it

Boone: I saw her, I saw her die

Locke: How did you feel....when she died

Boone: I felt...I felt relieved......I felt relieved

Locke: Yes.......Time to let go...

Boone looks at Shannon for a few moments

Then Locke gets up with his backpack and tells Boone: Follow me.

Boone looks at Shannon some more then follows Locke into the jungle

Someone either here or on another Internet site said they think Locke is sort of a spiritual guide for the others. I kind of think that's true. He's the only one who's seen the "beauty" of the island.

One of the writers said in an article that even though you (the viewer) think you have figured out who is good and evil, don't expect everyone to stay in those categories.

I'm loving this show, even though I don't get answers each week. I love the direction it's going (I just hope it doesn't disappoint in the end) but I have to agree with another poster - that hour goes by sooooo fast!

Thanks Capthooksmom! This show is definitely intriguing. I just hope it all comes together in the end.

Tonight's show was great. DH is convinced that Locke is bad. He thinks he is starting a separate group that follow him & he's been affected (or infected) by whatever got the French ladies group. She said they all "turned". He thinks Locke has "turned" & getting others to "turn". I dunno. I keep saying that Locke is really good, but he is definitely creepy.

OK, I just read back what I just typed & realized it makes little to no sense.

Oh, I LOVE THIS SHOW!!

I hope Locke is a spiritual guide capthooksmom! It's just both Boone and Locke, especially at the end, gave me a really uneasy/creepy feel. Sorta' like the little hairs on the back of my neck stood up!

Can someone recap the first 20 minutes for me? I missed the first part and got to it right as Boone woke up tied up.

What happened the first 20 mins?

Thanks

No, it does make sense. I've heard this theory too (did you post it here already?? I'm reading too many different sites LOL) and it could very well be true. I'm just hoping for the best for Locke. I want him to be a good guy.

Not enough Sawyer tonight, although I loved when the cop told Boone (as Sawyer was brought by) now if that was her boyfriend I could help you.

And Hurley, Dude you gotta pee on my foot!!

I really like Locke. have since day 1 when everyone thought he was creepy. I will be very disappointed if he turns out to be "bad". There's just something about the way he seems to be pondering life and at peace with himself. Sure, he's pretty rough around the edges and very mysterious. But, he also seems to be very wise and wanting to help others help themselves (even if it's the hard way).

Hmph. I'll be the voice of dissent here and say that this was the first episode of Lost that I really *did not* like.

I was confused the whole time and I don't feel like the plotline of the show was advanced at all. I don't mind questions and mysteries, but when you throw general confusion into the mix it gets to be a bit much! The background on Boone and Shannon was interesting but that really could have been covered in 5 minutes!

One thing I'm wondering about though is Locke's compass: is it really broken like Sayid said, or is the island on a weird magnetic field (like the Bermuda Triangle)?

I wonder about the compass too. When Sayid said "don't you need it" and Locke said "not anymore", I wondered if Locke meant he had "found his way".
Am I even making sense?????

I don't know... This one is getting pretty weird. I need a recap of the first 20 minutes as well.

Did anyone notice that Shannon and the pilot were not eaten? They seemed to have "potmarks" taken out of them. Seems a little odd to me.

I haven't been this hooked since I can't remember. What a great show!
