LOST.Discuss the current episodes SEASON PREMIERE Wednesday!!!!

Am I the only one who doesn't know what a Sleeslacker is or is no one reading this thread anymore? I see the picture, but what did they do? Is there any significance to their leader and our (we think) future leader both being named Jon/John Locke?

A Sleeslacker was one of the goons from Land of the Lost if memory serves

Is this what you're refering to?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleestak#Sleestak

I've never seen the show before butbased on the description, it seems the Sleestak have hunting skills and underground tunnels in common with Locke :) If there are Sleestak in the hatch I hope they don't look as campish as the ones on that site :rotfl:

Thanks Bunnyfoo! I was wondering if (a) nobody knew or (b) no one could find this thread because of the title change ;)
That is an interesting link and there are lots of things that could "relate" to the show. Some of it is spoilerish so I won't mention it here, but I wonder if you've picked up on something.

I loved the Land of the Lost..... :flower: :flower:

Very interesting about the name Jon Locke.....sleestack...I hope that they don't look so slimey....

No problem! I have so much fun looking up stuff about Lost! I can hardly wait for the next season to start :)

I think the John Locke and Vincent-the-boy have "something". Remember how he told Locke not to open the hatch? He didn't say why just not to open it. And of course Locke has been anxious to open it since he found it.

Those sleestacks look like something from the movies they show at the Sci Fi Drive in. I'm lovin' the reruns!

The boy's name is Walt. It's the dog whose name is Vincent.
Wasn't there a character on Land of the Lost named Vincent?

**I just read the Land of the Lost link and there doesn't seem to be a character named Vincent. Anyway, I wonder if the producers of Lost got their ideas from this show. I used to watch this as a kid and there are many similiarities to both shows. I won't go into detail as this is not the spoiler site.

Well shoot, I knew that! I was trying to think of the dogs name before I posted! I suppose that if the dog talked to Locke it would be a whole new story line! I think the "others" are getting to me.

There is actually talk about there being a show from the dog's point of view. Who knows with this show, maybe the dog can talk ;)

I was telling my co-workers the other day that it would be neat if they did one episode from Vincent's (Walt's dog) point of view. He might have noticed things that the other passengers didn't see.

That's right!! Especially since he was missing for a day or two. Who knows what he might have seen while he was wandering around in the jungle!!??

For those of you who watch Sci-Fi, would you consider Lost Science Fiction?

Now that you mention it, I do think of it as Sci-Fi.

Also, an episode through Vincent's eyes would be terrific.

I think we should write for the show. FYI, Sawyer would do all of his MANY scenes sans shirt and oops, his jean are ruined - anyone have a bandana to use as a loin cloth? :bitelip:

:hyper: :hyper: ::yes:: ::yes::

Land of the Lost...I remember watching that show when I was young. I don't remember a whole lot about it though.
