we just got home. Believe it or not, I lost our camera. On my birthday of all days. It was the end of the day and a cast member said I had a phone call...it was Goofy wishing me happy birthday. It really tickled me. Got back to our hotel and my camera is gone. I either sat it down to take the phone call or lost it on the bus. It was our digetal and I hadn't downloaded our card so it had pictures from our wedding and Christmas, lots of in betweens not to mention pictures from the first part of our trip. Yep, we checked with lost and found and filled out a form but nothing showed up. Do you think there is still a chance it turns up at the parks. It's really put a shadow over our trip.

anything's possible. I lost a memory stick out of our camera in DTD and it turned up 2 weeks later. a tiny memory stick. :)

I know how you are feeling. I have lost 2 cameras at WDW over the years and sadly I never got them back. I lost one in the MK and my husband knew right where he left it. Checked at City Hall several times during the trip and after we got home, but no one ever turned it in. The second one I lost was this past June and it was a brand new camera purchased just for our trip. We knew it was in our car when we went out to dinner and I even double checked to make sure the car was locked. When we got back to CBR I noticed we didn't have it. I thought maybe it had fallen out of the car in the parking lot at the resort. I searched all around the car and of course no luck. Called lost and found several times and no one ever turned it in. Luckly I had taken a full roll of film we had shot out of the camera bag that morning so at least we didn't lose those pictures. I was so upset. My husband, who didn't go with us on that trip, called me and I told him and I was crying and he said $100 wasn't worth ruining my trip over. That made me feel a lot better, but every once in a while I still think about that camera!!! It wasn't a digital, but it was a nice Cannon point and shoot. I still haven't replaced it!!!

I forgot my camera on the Dumbo ride. Never saw it again. It's amazing that people would take someone's camera on vacation! Bummer

I lost mine on winnie the pooh. It had pics of our first breakfast at CRT. My two girls are still asking where the pics are of the breakfast. I had to buy another one that night. Needless to so, my husband was furious! The brightside, we needed a new camera and the remaining vacation pics turned out perfect!

Yes, and if it's not bad enough to steal someone's camera, it's even worse to steal their memories. You can't get much lower than that. :sad2:

I realize this situation is a little bit different but I had some friends that went on a Disney Cruise for their honeymoon. They were taking some pictures while standing by the railing and yes, you guessed it, dropped the camera into the deep blue sea! So now when we cruise I always make sure the strap is around my neck!

I am so sorry for you. It is the pics that you really want & I can well imagine how it would put a damper on things.

On our first trip to wdw we were staying at the WL and met a lovely young couple who were celebrating their honeymoon. When they checked in they were told their room wasn't ready and foolishly enough they didn't check their luggage, cameras, etc.....'

You guessed it, someone broke into their car, took all their belongings, including the camera that had their wedding pictures on them. All they had were the clothes on their back and were heading to MK by boat.

They took it in stride and said that Disney was helping them out. I never asked how but I felt so so sorry for them.

So let that be a lesson to all of us. Don't leave anything in your car. Check it all in a the front desk even if your room isn't ready.

I still ask myself? why would anyone want to take another persons clothes?

I am so sorry to hear what happened to all of you. I have been fortunate, I guess. We have lost many items (actually my DS has) - cell phone, lanyards full of pins, a bag with new purchased t shirts and each time, have gotten it all back. It really gives one a good feeling and I guess, a false sense of security. I hate to think that people capable of such things are actually at Disney World but that is unrealistic. :sad2:
