DS bought Season 2 and I finished Monday...

So ready for tonight!!! :happytv:

Ready and waiting, although I'll have a longer wait than the rest of you. As addicted as I am to Lost, I can't bring myself to buy a TV. Just don't want one in the house. SO I download it from the Apple website. No big deal, except they make you wait 24 hours to download it. Torture!!! I'll join in sometime soon to gab about the show. After last week's episode, I'm dying for at least some look back at the main camp.

You don't have a TV? Wow. That is pretty darn amazing.

Yeah, yeah, I'm ready for Lost too. But the end of Project Runway is a two parter and the first part is tonight...

I don't do LOST, but I do watch Project Runway. Going to cut paper for Toppers'n'Tags while waiting. :sunny:

Bravo for you for no TV. Wish I had will power for that.

I watched after. More drama is coming next week...Do you think Laura has grounds for her accusations?

On a swap note, how big did you cut your tags? :teeth:

OK, no spoilers then, but it was a good one! :happytv:

Nope, no tags yet! :teeth: Did cut all the paper for American Adventure toppers. I might try a smaller shaker box instead of a tag for this one, while I'm waiting on size feedback for the other ones.

If Laura had seen the workspace that Jeffrey has, she might have held her tongue. I think Jeffrey can be a super jerk about things, however I do think he did sew his own stuff. He said he hardly spent anytime with his family during the working process, so I believe him. I mean, wow, did you see that work room?

I want Laura's accusations to be true but I don't think they are. What if the producers told her to do that to add drama? Ok - I don't think they did but what if....

There was a "rumor" on yahoo that Jeffrey's mother told Laura's mother that he had employees help him - another ploy to add drama?

So far, I'm not impressed with what I saw of Michael's stuff and I really like him.

I really liked all of this other outfits that Michael made for the challenges, but I too was not impressed with what I saw so far. And where were Uli's prints? I'm not sure I'm going to like anyone's collection as much as their challenge pieces.

I guess it really doesn't matter if you go over budget, are mean to mothers, or don't keep your receipts. You can still win the show :confused3 Jeffery's was too "designer" for me. I couldn't see an everyday person in his things at all.

I really liked Laura's collection. I thought it was elegant and very upscale. All that beading was so pretty. The crazy fur and feathers were lost on my though.

Uli's was my favorite...very wearable and real. I have liked all her things through the show. I love that flowing dress look. Her shorter things were really nice too.

Michael's was just weird. I didn't like the neckline and it was repeated in most of the collection.

Anyway, then I watched the new Chef show for about 45 min, and didn't see who was "aufed" :happytv:

I did not like Jeffrey's collection. I personally would not wear anything he has made for the challenges and the finale.
I don't know what happened to Michael's stuff. His challenges, except the last one, were so great and then he makes that stuff? It didn't even look hip-hop to me and to put that beautiful dark toned skin girl in the orange outfit? What was he thinking?
Laura made that one weird outfit with the bow thing around the neck, what was that? I really kinda like the over-top green outfit she made. 'course it did not go with any of the other pieces.
Oh, my, but did I LOVE Uli's collection. I would have worn every single one she made, but I would have to keep the cover-up on the bathing suit. No need to make children cry.
I don't get why Uli didn't win? She met all the challenges, her collection was fantastic, and she was super nice. Oh, yah, that's right she makes one of a kind outfits. She doesn't do patterns, so said Jeffrey in his interview. Oh well, not like I buy Elle magazine anyway. Hope Jeffrey does well as he said he will. Would hate to see it not go anywhere, no matter who won.

In my order of personal preference: laura/uli - even cause i liked them for different reasons), Jeffrey, Michael (based on their final collections and how I liked them)

I loved Laura's elegance and Uli's style and would have been happy with either of them.

Uli wasn't always nice either - she egged Laura on for a while, then backpedalled. I didn't think it was smart for Laura to accuse Jeffry either.

What happened to Michael? His clothes looked like he designed them for a streetwalker. I was so disappointed in him as I had thought he might take it all.

Jeffry actually had several dresses I liked - surprise. Based on design, I thought he deserved to win. Remember - those fashion shows aren't showing wearable clothes for women to wear. They're showing edgy and different and the judges were looking for that more than something that we, everyday women, would want to wear. Based on all the other things - budget, behavior, arrogance etc - I wanted him to lose.

I liked Uli's collection the best and I thought it was extra good because previously all of her designs looked the same to me but this showed a much broader range.

I understand why Jeffrey won but that doesn't mean I like his style - it's "fashion" - a world I know nothing about. But I liked his final (zipper) piece on the dressform and it was okay on the runway but when his model came out at the end (when she won her photo spread) she looked really clunky and awkward in it.

Laura's had a couple really nice pieces and a couple really weird ones and I think the judges really said it best - beautiful craftsmanship but too narrow. My impression was "high society."

I loved Michael best all along but I think he did miss the boat here. But like he said, he is very young and he's still finding his way.
