losing weight on the way to Mickey!

Hi All! I would love to join this thread also! I am a 31 yr old mother of 3. My goal is to lose 35lbs. 3 years ago I lost 30+ lbs after my first two children and was happy there. Then I had baby # 3 and cannot seems to get back on track. We have a trip planned for 9/2016 and we are staying at the Polynesian for the first time. I really want to be down to my goal of 150 by then. I have been going to the gym 2-3 times a week and logging into MFP. I have a daily calorie goal of 1200. I do pretty good all week, but weekends are hard for me. I weigh in on Monday morning as a motivator to be good over the weekend.
So far since 1/1/2016 I have yoyoed down and up 5 lbs. I will be buckling down this week and really start to set myself up for success. First thing will be to stop drinking diet coke.
Good luck everyone!

You are in the same boat as me! After my third child I have had a really hard time losing the weight. I also am trying to lose 30 lbs to get down to 150 by the end of the year. My ultimate goal is to get down to 130, but I'm giving that two years. Good luck and I hope we can be an encouragement!

Happy Friday! Introducing myself and hoping to encourage you all and get a little support, as well. I will be 41 in 9 days and am hoping to ultimately lose and keep off 40-45 pounds. Our Disney trip is scheduled for early May, and my goal for then is to be down 10-15 pounds. I am a stay-at-home mom who homeschools our 1st and 9th graders. Between church, school, theater & associated lessons/rehearsals and basketball, my schedule is crazy busy with little time to exercise. I have lost and regained over the years, but am ready to lose this extra weight for good!

Hey all!
Just a little bit of encouragement for the morning! You are all doing awesome. I have been tracking on MFP for a few days and was under calories 2 days then over yesterday, long story short my husband lost his keys at work so I had to drive an hour to get him and my two girls at daycare (before they closed!). So late McDonalds dinner it was :crazy2: but I will make up for it with a workout tonight.
Weakness of the day: I have a soft spot for anything chocolate and sweet. I found that the Fibre One Brownies are actually good and only 90 cal per bar. Just enough sweet to hit the spot, but low enough calories to not feel to bad about it.
Strength of the day: I am drinking 2 1/2 32oz bottles of water per day at work!

Keep up the good work all! 218 days till WDW for me!

Hey everyone! I would love to join in as well. I am a 31 year old stay at home mom to one 5 year old girl (who is in kindergarten). 5'3 and looking to get at 130, I am at 150 right now. Our next trip is in September so I have until then to lose the 20 pounds but I would love to have it off for summer. I am using MyFitnessPal to track my calories, walking at least 10,000 steps each day using my Fitbit Charge to track, and I am hoping to do some sorta of workout 5 days a week(elliptical/Dance workout/Pilates workout) I am not sure yet what will work for me or will do what I want which is helping slim my tummy.

I got to 124 last may (2015) before our cruise after a little over year of losing weight, I had started at 168, then did not do well with maintaining and put the weight back on. My one complaint even when I was at the 124 was that I still had a little tummy pooch so this time I definitely want to get rid of that as well as the weight.

I do allow myself one sweet a day because I have a huge sweet tooth and if I don't it would be bad. I drink mainly water and hot tea (no sugar) mainly because to much caffeine gives me heart palpation so I found it is better to just not drink it at all.

I may not write on here everyday but I will at least once a week to keep on track. My days that get me in trouble are Wednesdays (Bible study/errand day) and the days when my husband is home (which this weekend is just Sunday, next week will be Saturday and Sunday).

Looking forward to hearing about everyone's progress!

I like the 90 cal brownie also....we get outs at costco....DD7 has her entire class begging her to bring them for snack time after she shared hers at school.:rolleyes1

Hi there and welcome! I too have lost wt and regained after the kiddos. Im here to to fight the middle aged spread:rolleyes: as well as lose baby wt and exercise is becoming my stress relief. I have a 3, 7, and 9 yr old.

Just did 35 min walking and then free wts.

Week 4 and I've gone from barely going at 3.2 mph and today was mostly at 3.8mph!:yay: Maybe I will start C25K next month while the kids start ball (theres an outdoor trail near the practice field). Even if I'm not as low wt wise as I wanted.

I did get myself a little gift for making it 30 days.....new mizuno wave riders, my old shoes were done.

Good morning. Wasn't even going to say anything today because I once again did a bad job yesterday, but I need to be accountable! Went out to eat at noon yesterday and ordered a bowl of chili and a water because I know the ww pts. on that. All was well until supper time. I just didn't feel like cooking so I threw in some frozen chick patties and ate that and chips. (chips are probably my biggest downfall if I am being totally honest) shouldn't bring them in the house. So once again it's a new day. Breakfast I had 2 slices of toast and pb. Lunch I am going to try to make myself eat just a salad. Tonight we have a supper thing we have to go to. I know the menu, so I am going to try to take a small portion of bbq pork and small serving of potatoes and leave the dessert, bread and baked beans. Tonya George, thank you for the comments on the water intake and salt, and your comments on the proteins. I am going to take your advice and put it to good use. Also I did a one mile walk video this morning. My trip is coming up so fast I didn't even realize it!!!!! I need to kick it in high gear and get busy losing! Keep up the good work everyone!

I'm so happy to have found this thread! We are taking our son for his first Disney trip in November for his 3rd birthday. I would love to lose weight to go. I'm still hanging on to weight that I gained when I was pregnant with him, and then some. After I had DD, I got right back into shape, but unfortunately it didn't work that way with DS. I would have thought that I would have lost weight because I wouldn't have time to eat, but being a stay at home mom, I run into the kitchen way too often rummaging around for something quick to eat, and it's usually not the healthiest. I have a lot of cute Disney shirts that I have acquired over the years that don't fit me as comfortably now and I would love to be able to fit into them for November! I don't have a specific weight I want to get to, just to be more comfortable in my body and in my clothes. Right now I'm at 184. I would love to get into the 150's, but we'll see how it goes.

I haven't been trying too hard this week because it's that time of the month (ahem, sorry!) and during this time I just get really snacky. Not good. So I'm hoping to get my act together in a couple days!

I do drink a lot of water during the day, so that's not something that I have to work too hard at. I just need to find healthier options for when I need to get something quick to eat. I'm glad that I found this thread so that I can get some ideas, and also post my progress and frustration along the way!

Hey everybody! (Anyone watch two broke girls? In my head I heard Sophie ! Lol)

So I'm down 7 lbs in 4 weeks! I wish it was more but I have decided to jump start (I hope) my loss! My friend and I are starting Tuesday doing yoga

Ready to loose the baby weight! We have two trips this year, one is a long weekend at the end of April and the other is at the end of December.

I really would like to loose 15 lbs prior to April 26th. I'm currently just eating protein and veggies and so far have lost 8 lbs since I've had our second DD. I won't be cleared for exercise till the end of February so I'm watching everything I eat.

I had a bad weekend food wise. Hopefully back on track this week even with all the things I have going on (Dr appointment for Hubs Tuesday, bible study Wednesday, lunch out with a friend Thursday). I do have most of our dinners planned out this week and that always helps me. I am worried about the exercise with all that I have coming up but it may work in my favor.

Hi :wave2: I'm a late joiner. We're planning a trip to the USA for later in the year and I refuse to waddle around like a whale in NYC.
Today I rejoined the gym after an absence of nearly 11 years :rotfl2:Tomorrow I have my fitness test which won't be pretty, or fun. Once all that has been completed I'll have a program to follow and will complement it with a few group classes - nothing high impact as I've damaged both knees and one ankle. I'm also going to find the vivofit and put it back on my wrist and perhaps start the 5:2 diet to assist with my love of food.

Currently weigh 85.8kg (189.15lbs)
Goal weight 65-70kg (143 - 154lbs)

Need to lose between 15-20kg (33-44lbs)

Hope everyone has had a great start to the week!

Hi everyone! Im new here too!!! Hoping to lose 20 pounds by march for disney world and 40 by may for tinkerbell 10k so i can be under 200. Unfortunately never been this heavy in my entire life. Lost 7 in 2 weeks on weight watchers. Fingers crossed it all goes well!!!

welcome and sending good wishes as you get started. have a wonderful day!

My Monday morning weigh in was a success! started at 140 lbs. today weighed 132.2! Happy to be making progress! I have walked a mile (inside) two times last week and plan to do that everyday this week.

Wishing everyone a successful week!

Happy Monday...weekend wasn't great diet wise, but still working on it. Monday morning weigh in down 1lb, so it is a start. This week my goal is to be under my daily calorie goal of 1200 every day (was a little lax last week). I also have a goal of getting to the gym 2x and doing cardio at home 2-3x Need to get back into the groove.
Good luck this week everyone! And welcome to everyone who has joined this thread the more the merrier.

Hi everyone! Sending good, healthy thoughts everyone's way. :cheer2:

I would like to join in too. I'm 42 and after my son was born 3 yrs ago, I lost 45 lbs of weight from all 3 of my pregnancies. Unfortunately the last year and a half has been very frustrating and stressful at work, leading me to gain 25 lbs back. I started trying to lose that weight in Nov and drew Mickey heads on my arm (hidden under my sleeve) as encouragement to try to lose most of it before our early May trip. I've lost 8 lbs so far which is less than my 1 lb a week goal, but the holidays were in there. :crazy2: I'm hoping to lose 10 to 14 more before the trip. I have a sundress, bought 2 summers ago that I want to wear to the park. I'm using myfitnesspal and trying to be more active (walked the kids to school today).
