Hi all,
I am also trying to loose weight before our trip at the end of Sept. DH and I are doing WW. So far so good! We are following their suggested meal plans and we see an avg. wt. loss of 1 - 2lbs a week. I'm hoping to be down to or below 200 by our trip. I want my clothes to be loose fitting! We will be on the free ddp but we figure with all the walking and swimming our indulgences will be walked and sweated off!
Activity points are hard for me. I have severe RA so some days I can do the Walk Away the Pounds DVD no problem and then other days I can't barely manage to get dressed so it's touch and go. But they do include your usual activities like doing laundry, casual walking as points so that helps.
To keep the motivation I like to read the WW boards (I do online, not one for meetings). Also, as weird as this may sound, I read some of the not so nice postings on the dis boards about 'fat' people and all the tsk tsk'ing that goes on with those. Anger motivates me for some reason. Deep down I know I'm doing it for myself and that I will never meet those people irl but in some odd way it motivates me to keep making healthier choices when that big ol bar of chocolate is calling my name. I guess it's a 'in your face' mentality...
