Losing weight for our weddings!! See new thread.

Hi ladies!!!!!

SOrry I'm so rubbish at keeping this updated!

It's really hard having to wait for the main computer to be free!

Such a shame I can't make a table straight onto the board instead of faffing about with jpegs and photobucket!

Hopefully i'll update tomorrow!!

Well done everyone!! :teeth:

Ok, so for the first 3 weeks of the 10 week summer challenge I've managed to lose a pound a week, hopefully I can keep going steadily along!

This last pound has actually marked a total of 1 stone lost since I started altogether earlier this year :cool1:

Ok, no weight loss for me this week :( I guess I should be happy that there is no gain! I know why though, besides working my muscles hardcore (hoping I "gained" some in muscle) and then spending a day eating my way through NYC I was lucky to even out! Hope everyone else had a good weigh in, keep up the good work ladies! Let's all try and work out an extra 10 minutes a day this week :) Thta little bit can make a big difference!

Holly

i lovee dirty dancing so i might invest in that dvd!

oooh so today my hunger is bad.

my tummy is aching for food - crap food.

BREAKFAST
Low fat nautral yoghurt & blueberries, strawberries and raspberries

LUNCH
Salad - lettuce, cucumber, carrots, sweetcorn & green pitted olives & low fat coleslaw. (olives are fattening i know, and i need to cut them out as i usually have loads on my salads!!!)

DINNER
Salad - same as above, with a hard boiled egg or some boiled potatoes or some grilled chicken with it.

Grapes & strawberries to snack on all day. (i have been eating a half a box in the evening) and i have some olives too...

i have Tea abour 5 times a day with milk & 1 sugar...

AND IM HUNGRY!!

LAST NIGHT I DREAMED I WAS EATING CHIPS???? huh?? is this normal???

Hi Stacey (and ladies!) -

I was just reading this thread to see how everyone was doing - even though I'm not a part of this challenge. I'm currently training for a figure and bikini competition through NPC (when my body's done, I'll hopefully look like a cover girl on a fitness magazine - muscle-y and tight! :woohoo:).

Stacey's post (and some of your other menus!) scare me a bit, though. Stacey, you're hungry because you're not getting NEARLY enough protein or carbs. Your body NEEDS carbs. Not potato chip carbs (although I totally get what you're saying!), but whole grains. A slice of whole grain toast in the morning (ONE slice!), half of a whole wheat pita with some chicken and all of your salad fixings for lunch, brown rice with chicken and veggies for dinner. Not a ton of carbs, small servings! You'll find that you'll feel much more satisfied.

The problem with cutting out carbs is that you lose energy, and can't maintain that lifestyle. The minute you go back to eating carbs after denying yourself, you'll blow up like a balloon! Not a pretty look on your honeymoons!

Water is also important. Nobody on here is going to die from drinking too much - I drink a gallon a day and am still going strong. And a whole gallon is A TON of water! :scared1:

Like I said, I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty knowledgeable - and I'm only critiquing because I want to see you all be successful!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes

Good luck!!

I only lost one pound this week!

I feel like I am working sooo hard with WW, and not getting too far. I guess it's time to kick it up a notch!

I was on WW for about a month before I saw results..it was like my metabolism had to have a kick start..I was very close to giving up but then I started losing and it was great!

1lb is great..my weight loss in the end averaged 1lb per week~

Is it too late for me to join?
I'm terrible at this with out some sort of motivation. I love how it is posted for all to see...I'll have to find my start weight. I'd like to get down about 10 lbs. Now to find a scale. :scared:

My mum's been doing WW for about a year, and has seen some great results, but only after about the first month and a half
she said that month and a half was rough on the motivation and self esteem...but that it was one of the best decisions ever made to stay on the program.

I've been bad about updating lately, had a bit of wedding drama to deal with.

Week 2: 0
Week 3: .2

Def not that great, but it was that time of the month, so I'm hoping for a comeback this week. I want to get another 7 pounds off before my mom gets here in a month :goodvibes

Every little bit helps! You are doing great, keep working at it :goodvibes

Hey girls! Can I join too?? I am hoping to lose 20 lbs before the wedding. I have been trying to eat better and have been using Wii Active (which I love!).

I used to be a Centre Director for Jenny Craig...so I know what I'm doing, I just have to do it!!

Hi all!!!! I love this topic as I myself need motivation. I have been on WW now since feb and have lost 10 lbs but I have hit a wall lately and cant seem to get back on the wagon.... Its been rough with work getting all crazy and planning... Need to relax I think... But overall WW is great.
Keep up the great work ladies....

Hey everyone! No wedding to plan here (yet....) but I recently started Weight Watchers and I wanted some input from those of you who are currently doing it and have been successful with losing weight.

So for those that have lost some weight, did you stay within your daily point count everyday and still lose weight? And for those who didn't, did you still lose weight anyway? Right now I'm on a 23 point diet, but I've been having a hard time staying at just 23 points (today for instance I went up to 25 points so 2 points was deducted from my weekly allowance total).

Also, how much weight did you lose the first week and when did your weight loss start to level off to the 1-2 pounds per week phase?

Thank you so much! And good luck to all of you in meeting your weight loss goals! :goodvibes

Hi Torsie,
my goal is to reach 10 stone by sept 1st as im getting married on the 21st ...i have just had a baby boy in january so i have been hard at losing the weight i've had a few mishaps but then who doesnt ?
since the babba has been born i have lost just over 1 & 1/2 stone i need to lose another 11lb if possible so having you guys there behind me will be great..
my diet since jan has consited of breakfast .cereal or toast
lunch would be a cuppa soup or salad in pitta bread
and tea would be a salad with quiche/chicken /fish or a jacket potato.i try not to eat after 6pm and plenty of water ...
i also have now taken to walking everywhere which has helped loads ...
so my weight today is 10.11lb by sept i hope to be 10 st if not i will be happy being near that target as i have never been lower than 11st while being Orlando .

Here are my top tips.

#1 Don't consider food "bad". You must keep a healthy mindset about food. If you eat something high in fat/calories that doesn't mean the whole day is ruined or the whole week. Get back on track!

#2 Make sure you are eating ENOUGH calories. If you are working on and not eating enough you will actually gain weight

#3 Lots of filler foods...always eat a salad or cup of low sodiuim soup before lunch and dinner. This will mean you eat less during the meal.

#4 Find healthier versions of foods you love!! I love Edy's yogurt blends...it tastes great and cures my ice cream fix. Skinny cow too!!

I would stay on my daily points unless we went to dinner..( I started at 28 points and last time I was on WW, it was 20pts) If I went to the gym, I would exchange a point there too..I RARELY dipped into my flex points...people on the WW board had the mindset that "well, that is what they are there for..to use." I didn't believe that..I thought of them as a cushion in case we went for dinner and I had a piece of bread..those flex points would keep me from jumping off a cliff. I would always have 30+ points left every week.
Also, how much weight did you lose the first week and when did your weight loss start to level off to the 1-2 pounds per week phase?

I didn't lose anything the first few weeks and this was very upsetting at first, but then I dropped 5lbs in one week and from then on, it was 2 or 3 lbs a week until about a year..and then I would maintain. I think it took some time at first to jump start my metabolism..It has been 27 months since I started and almost a year that I have been the same weight. I went from a 22W and now all my clothes are 10's...so I am very, very happy. I haven't counted points in a long time..but that is what I love about WW..it taught me how to eat!!

This would occasionally happen to me..I would do something to jump start it again..maybe add more weights to your exercise..or walk just a bit farther..something different..I also would change my snacks..instead of pretzel flats, I would change to celery..still having a snack but less points.

I only put 1.5lbs on on my holidays!! I'm really pleased with that! Since last going to WW, we've been out for my mum's birthday meal, a party for my little cousin's birthday, 11 days in Florida eating wings, burgers, pizza, ribs, you name it... DF's birthday meal & cake, a wedding, and 2 takeaways. Yikes! But all that walking must have paid off and I'm happy with that.

Working hard now to get it back off for next weigh in!

Breakfast: Toasted Bagel with Philadelphia Extra Light Cream Cheese - 3.5pts
Lunch: Small Sandwich with Light Choices Ham and Philly Extra Light, Pack of Weight Watchers Cheese Puffs Crisps, 2 Strawberries and a slice of Weight Watchers Belgian Chocolate Brownie - 5.5pts

Undecided on dinner. Will either make fajitas using Light Choices wraps and Quorn 'chicken', have a Light Choices ready meal, or pasta with mini meatballs sauce and some Light choices garlic bread.... decisions!!
