thank you so much everyone for your kind words and hugs, I can feel them from here.

Talked to my mom and dad and they both feel that my grandma would definitely have not only wanted me to go, but to remember the many beautiful trips we had together there and spoil my little girl.

I think the trip will be surreal for me, but I know I will feel connected to her there, and I want to feel that so bad right now.

Thank you all for your ideas too, I will let you know what I end up doing after we get back.

Fantasia, my eyes filled with tears reading your post, I am so sorry about your husband and I admire, and salute your celebrating his life with your kids that way. I know that he would be happy that you're doing that.

I am sorry for your loss also. I think you shouldn't try to chose what to do. If you do one thing, fine. If you are lead to do other things, do them also.
I hope you have a good and safe trip with many warm memories of your grandmother.

I think you should go and definitely do something like the balloon release. Your grandmother would want you to have joy. Have a wonderful trip and do something she would have enjoyed.
