Losing FP+ if you cancel room only with an AP?

My niece and I are annual pass holders and booked a room at a value for our trip coming up in a few weeks. A great rate came available at a moderate yesterday, and she went ahead and booked it for us. I had made our fast pass reservations at 60 days out on the original reservation which I still have. If I cancel that reservation on line, do our fp's go away? Do we need to call and see if the CM can transfer them over??

As long as Reservation #2 is linked to your account, you can Cancel Reservation #1. You won't lose your FPs.

I have 2 FD packages booked and a 1 night R/O booked. Going to cancel the earlier package, but trying to decide if there is any advantage to keeping it for a while. Pkg #1 is from 11/28-12/2. R/O is for night of 12/9 and Pkg #2 starts is 12/10-12/14. Going to ask for access to package #2's tickets on 12/9. As I understand it, I won't be able to get FP for 12/9 until I am in park. I need to cancel Pkg #1 by 10/29 which will be within the 60 day window for Pkg #2. If I book FPs for 12/9-12/14 (is that even possible?) when the window opens up for Pkg #1 will I be able to keep them if I cancel at 46 days, because will be in the 60 day window for Pkg #2. Would that be a way for me to get FPs on 12/9 when I have R/O?
