I was just thinking, wouldn't Lord of the rings have been a better addition to animal kingdom then avatar?

Couldn't Disney get the rights to that?

I don't think it really fits into AK. There really aren't prominent animals or nature in LOR. Avatar is all about nature and environment. Plus, the family will probably never give anyone the rights to turn LOR into a theme park attraction. People think Rowling is a tough customer, but the Tolkien family beats her by miles in the stubborn department.

I actually think Avatar is better for Animal Kingdom. James Cameron's making 3 or 4 sequels for Avatar, so I think it will remain relevant further in the future then LOTR. Plus I feel like the prequels left a bad tastes in a lot of people mouths, including my own.

History says No! Research Tolkien and Walt Disney. I wish but no. Also not in Animal Kingdom, it does not fit.
