Not sure where i should put this thread so if it's in the wrong place, please let me know.

OK, have you ever wanted to "loose weight for disney"? This is my goal! i have 72 days until i leave and i would like to get rid of 20lbs. I mostly carry all my weight in my stomache and it really sucks. ( i have been teased through school saying i look like im pregnant. ) well, its time for me to say good bye to my "baby belly". About 4 weeks ago i became vegetarian again. Still eating dairy products and fish. and then about 2 weeks ago, i decided i wanted to "look good for mickey". However, i didn't really start a deit.

2 weeks ago, i weighed 170lbs. i started working out 35 minutes a day at the same time every night after dinner. In my family we drink alot of pop/ juice. So, with my work out, i decided to cut out all junk food ie: chocolate, candy, chips etc. and pop and juice.

I havn't had one piece of junk food or a sip of pop in 2 weeks. I have lost 13 lbs. and am so proud of myself. my stomache is getting firm and i feel so much healthier.

my question to you guys is, anyone in the same boat and want to try my 70 challange of no pop, no juice, NO junkfood, and a work out of 35 minutes a day??

this is absolutely the right place!! Congrats on your weight loss!

Check out Aaron's column on Dieting for Disney. I'm doing a followup that should be there soon with tips for staying on your diet while at Disney.

Hey I would love to join you on this! I'm going to disney in Feb for the princess 1/2 marathon. I was 190 pounds on Oct. 9th (and i'm 5'1ish). I have been training for the marathon and lost 9 - 10 pounds so far, but have been set back by a little leg issue... :headache:

I took a week off, but i'm back into the game today. I have given up soda as of September??? Junk food - ouch.... that one is going to be hard, but i think i can do it!

What kind of exercises are you doing each day? What does your workout schedule look like?

:cheer2:

I can't tell you how many of these that I have joined in the past year.:rotfl2: I need to lose about 15-20 pounds but I am having the worst time getting started. I can't seem to get motivated and stay there.

We are also going to Disney in May the day after my DD graduates, and I would love to go skinny, but unless I get up off my tail & do something about it, it's not gonna happen. Soooo, count me in. I'll try one more time.:thumbsup2

We are headed back to Disney in June and I would LOVE to be 30 pounds lighter by then! (I ate my way through DS1 senior year) I was walking every morning after dropping kids at school, but DH just had emergency surgery this week and will be home for about 6 to 8 weeks now, so walking in mornings is out. :sad2: I may try running up and down our stairs a few times a day. (never go up the stairs - teen's room) Good luck to everyone! We can do it! :yay: :cheer2:
