Looks like you will find Nemo CBR rooms soon.

If it's a flat screen TV why is it out on the edge of the dresser? Odd placement.

My guess is the new flat screen TV at CBR is a Flat Screen CRT TV.
All Star Music and the newly renovated rooms at All Star Sports have the 27'
Flat Screen CRT TV's.

Many people confuse Flat Screen with Flat Panel TV's and they are not the same.

The Flat Screen TV just has a Flat Screen. It does have better resolution though.

Here is website that shows a Flat Screen CRT TV:

Hope that helps.

Wow, I didn't know the East Australian Current ran past Tortuga...

How long do you suppose until they officially rename the resort?

Blech. I love Nemo, but he does not fit into the CBR. :sad2:

Those room decorations belong at ASMovies. I love the theme of CBR and hate to see it go the way of Pixar. And I love Pixar. Not everything needs to be tied into a movie theme.

Wow! I wonder how much the Family Suites will cost at a Mod. And I do like the idea of the Pirates theme.

My thoughts exactly!!! Awful, just awful.:sad1:

Agreed. I like the movie, but I was already Nemo'ed out between the Seas and the show at Animal Kingdom. I'm incredibly frustrated that Pixar is everywhere you look now. I love most of their movies, but it's just overkill at this point. CBR was my favorite moderate resort, and suddenly I have no desire to stay there anymore based on those pictures. Never mind that the movie is set in Australia, not the Caribbean. :sad2:

It annoys me that Disney thinks guests won't notice (that) the Nemo theme does not fit the resort ...or that loyal CBR guests will be disappointed. After all, we love the Resort because of it's tropical Caribbean theme! It's light, bright and cheerful - a vacation within a vacation.:)

We've been visiting CBR since it opened in 1988 - decided to try a change from the Poly and loved CBR. It is the best moderate.::yes:: We've always felt that because it was the first mod, it was better...larger rooms, etc...and in the early days the restaurant and live entertainment was much better. Disney cut back with the ones that followed. I know POR and CSR fans will not agree, but that's okay.;)

Disney has a history, a tradition...why mess with that - it's always worked. :confused3

I've no desire to stay in the refurbed rooms either...but we will, just to see it for ourselves.

can't please all of the people all of the time...

:confused3

I cant imagine what it must be like to be disney tryign to please everyone...its just not possible. Which has to be one of the hardest things to be a 'customer focused' organization...where everyone has a different opinion of what makes them happy.!

It's less a matter of what individual people like and more a symptom of a larger problem. Disney used to stand for consistency of Show and attention to detail. Now we've got Australian sea life and Caribbean pirates in a single resort. It's the blatant disregard for consistency and attention to detail that bothers me.

The disturbing part is how it underscores a larger trend. With the exception of Fantasyland, the attractions in the parks used to be stories in their own right, each elaborately amd consistently themed. The resorts have also in the past each remained consistent within their theme. You don't see cell phones in Pirates of the Caribbean, and there are no laptops in the Tower of Terror. This is because they wouldn't fit the theme. Now we see further precedent being set that theme and imagination don't matter, just slap on some characters and call it a day.

Any idea when these will be ready?

Dana

CBR has 33 buildings with 64 rooms in each building.
When WDW refubishes rooms they usually close 1 building down at a time and refubish that building.

If Jim Hill's time line is correct than it should only take about 1 week to complete each building.

There are 27 buildings not counting the ones in the Trinidad South section of the resort.

So most the other buildings should be completed in about 7 months or around Febuary.

Jim Thinks the last 6 buildings in Trinidad South section of the resort would be made into Family Suites. If they do build Suites( not sure I think the Suites are still a maybe) they might be open by the end of March or beginning of April. Just in time for Spring Break. Time will tell. :hourglass

Very well stated...and at the heart of it, that's why it bothers me so much. It's not truly about if many of us are fans of Nemo or not, or a moderate theme more like a value....it does "underscore a larger trend".

Thanks for articulating what I meant! :goodvibes

That's why you have a consistent philosophy and manage to it rather than relying on flawed guest surveys and "branding strategies".

Trust me, if the question put to Imagineering was "How can we improve our Caribbean themed resort?", they would not have come back with Nemo decorations.

The primary goal here is to build the Nemo brand.

If they have new Pirates themed rooms, do they come with your very own personal Jack Sparrow? ;)

I would so book these rooms for every stay!
