We just had our first trip home in Jan/Feb and booked our second trip while on that first trip.

My cousin is getting married this summer and we were going to extend that weekend into a longer road trip... well, we'll be right by Seattle and it's pretty cheap to fly out of the states (compared to Canada where we live), so I checked flights and the cost is less than the road trip.

Checked on availability and we're in! Going home for August 3 - 7. We couldn't get into Kidani, so we're staying at Jambo (savannah view)... but I'm told we can pool hop over to Kidani since we are DVC members staying on DVC points.

Now... how hot/crowded will it be down there during that time?

... and the million dollar question these days... Who's going to score the first photo's of Kidani's pool area for all of us to see?

My understanding is (From the director of DVC in California) the pool at Kidani Village will be open to all AKV guests regardless of DVC membership. I doubt most Jambo House guests will trudge over to Kidani Village so I do not see this as a problem anyway.

That's what I was thinking as well... just as long as we can trudge over there. ;) I'll be three months post-op and will not be allowed in a pool/hot tub until 6 months post-op (risk of infection from incision sites is too great). I figured the 'spray' pool at Kidani would be perfect for still allowing me to play in the water with my kids and dh can go in the pool/slide with them while I soak up some rays on a lounge chair.

Starting to get really excited! We're going to do the QS DDP... it will be too much food, but it's slightly cheaper than if we were to pay out of pocket and if we need extra snacks, we'll have them available to us. :D

We'll spend a day each at Epcot, MK and AK... and *maybe* hit HS for some TSM (depending how I feel). Just riding some gentle favourites and taking in the atmosphere... not sure how I'll hold up on the rides so soon after surgery. The other two days will be spent lounging by the pool, which is where Kidani will come in super handy. :D
