Looks like we should learn to say "Blackstone"

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting what I and many others have been saying for quite a while now- Blackstone is probably going to buy the Universal theme parks.

If they do end up buying the parks, I wouldn't expect much of anything to happen in Florida as the parks are already on an upswing thanks to Bob Gault's wonderful leadership. That being said, I really wouldn't want to be an executive in charge of Universal Studios Hollywood anytime soon.

The suits up high are so greedy.
The parks are making 100 million, but they complain about ride costs and maintenance. Sheeees.
You know, everyone is raving about the B&M flyer at SFGaM (hint, hint, JP Flyer, hint, hint, with a double pretzel loop).

Ordinarily I would agree, but Vivendi is really in a bind. You have to give them some credit though, because Vivendi has allowed the parks in Orlando to operate to the best of their ability. They could have just as easily pulled a Disney and milked them for all they were worth.
