Looks like Universal win this round

Is your "I know many people" really any different than his "very limited group"?

Yes because he said NO ONE was waiting for a sequel, all the negative comments on Avatar is NO ONE really cares about it. I am saying SOMEONE does.

I have also stated Star Wars, Harry, LOTR, Star Trek all have massive followings at the moment and Avatar is not likely to overpower any of these groups. That being said Avatar is not trying to be those groups. Even if you don't like the movies if Disney does the area correctly it will still be a favorite.

Like someone else said Disney has many rides not in line with popular movies. As far as areas after movies what has been released anywhere in the world? Carland but what else?

My family has taken 4 trips to DW in the past 5 years, but this year we are doing a Uni only trip. We didn't take a family trip last year (I went to DW with my dad), so I thought the family would be fighting to get back to DW this year, but when we sat down to decide where to go, Uni came out the winner. We still love DW and will probably go there next year, but we specifically bought APs to Uni for this trip so that if we do go to DW next year, we can spend a few days at Uni, too. We love HP, plus all of the brand new rides and areas to experience since our last day trip (3 years ago) were the key reasons. I love that they are creating state of the art experiences in record time and that there is always some cool new attraction in the works to begin as soon as the current one is done. APs will allow us to see anything that is new next year, and if more is on the horizon, it is just a great reason to renew them next year. Again, I LOVE DW, just wish they would put more money and time into attractions and less into DVCs and MBs.

Well we went to Maleficent last night, little long (kinda knew too much of the story etc) but very good.

Looked a lot like Pandora (and Beasties) to me-maybe a conversion down the road if required. :scratchin

That's why I'm so excited! Because it has all the rides and only takes a few minutes to park hop and they are basically all in one place! Sheesh. I wish 2015 was here...

I've been spending a lot of time on the DLR boards (but they aren't as busy as this one) and it seems like its going to be perfect for us, plus my other half lives on the west coast anyway (and we would have to fly pretty much anyway) and because I'm a little sad about the tiers of FP+ (which DLR doesn't have.)

Definitely not underestimating DLR, I just think that we can do 3-4 days there and tack on Universal Hollywood easier than it is to do 4 parks of WDW plus 2 parks of USO, that's all. :yay:

:lovestruc I can't even plan for airfare or hotels because it's too far away! :(

You will love DLR. We usually spend 3 days at DLR and 1 day at USH. No, we don't get everything done, but we always have a good time. As a previous poster said, DLR's parks are packed with more attractions than WDW's parks and, for the most part, the lines are much shorter (with a few exceptions...RSR). That, plus the lack of FP+, makes touring the DLR parks a lot more relaxing and enjoyable for us than WDW.
