DD and I had dinner at The Brown Derby tonight. The CM who waited on us said he was warning the guests he served to expect a huge crowd on Sunday and Monday. He said they were told to expect a crowd of 40,000 at MGM. The park only holds 32,000. He said they would be shutting the park down and only allowing people in as people left. I'm not sure if he knew what he was talking about, but be prepared if you plan on MGM this weekend.

Noooooo! Say it isn't so....we are leaving tomorrow!!! We were there over Thanksgiving and I thought that the crowds were very manageable so I thought this weekend had to be less crowded than then!! Oh well, keeping my fingers crossed!

I can see that at MGM because of Star Wars weekend. I wonder if the rest of the parks will be THAT crowded. MK might be busier then normal, but I bet the rest of the parks are fairly normal (hoping anyway since we get there TOMORROW!!!!).

It's Memorial Day.

Went May 11-19 to avoid the 50'th Disneyland birthday opening crowds and avoid the Memorial Day crowds.

If a park gets all the way to full capacity closure ("Level 4") they later let people in in batches, not a few at a time as people leave. The "level" is dropped to 3, 2, 1, etc. and if there are Disney resort guests waiting, they will be let in first and the level might go back to 4 stopping all guests instead of dropping to 1 when day guests would be let in.
