Justin HAD to apologize to attend the Grammy's.... and that was wone of the weakest apologies I ahve ever heard. Even DS who is 9 said "he's faking...look at him grinning!" I had said to DH after the Superbowl that Cameron Diaz has probably gone BALLISTIC and worried about her career, being his current girlfriend and all....and there he was with his Mom (could it have been ANY more obvious that he was trying to look *wholesome* )sure enough...I have heard nothing about Cameron/Justin since last weekend. Actually, I think that's a good thing!

And if you had just won the highest award in your industry, wouldn't you be smiling?

As far as sincere or not, he appologized, more than once. If someone makes a mistake and appologizes, how many times do they have to say it? Once, 50, a thousand? Obviously, there are many people who won't ever accept an appology form anyone.

It was a stunt gone wrong for national TV viewing. He said he was sorry he did it, he said he was sorry if people were offended.

What else will you have him do? I know, he should have all his CDs recalled, have all the tapes of him in the MMC destroyed, he should never, ever, ever appear in public with out a huge S for sinner on his forehead, he should never be allowed to speak again, because he won't be believed anyway, no matter what he says. Hmmm, what ther punishment should he have, he will probably pay a huge fine to the FCC, maybe we should make sure he pay them everything he has, and all future earnings. SO he will be 100% broke, and then deny him public assistance, because it is his own fault that he is where he is......

Give it up people. It happened, he probably will be dropped from his record label. He has damaged his own career, he is paying an enormous price for his own stupidity.

I had seen the snaps on the part of the garment that she kept on; hadn't seen the closeup of the part that got removed, so hadn't seen that the red lace was just a strip.

I don't have small children, my grandchildren weren't watching. I'm not outraged, but I did think the whole half-time show was kind of tacky.

It proves what I've been thinking all along. It was on t.v. this morning that Justin was told that he did have to apologize. Janet was told the same thing and she refused.

Hi mickeyfan1 -- on the news following the Grammy's they said that as a condition to be on the Grammys Justin had to do an on-air apology. Supposedly they offered the same thing to Janet.

What did you expect him to say besides "IF"? Some people were not offended so he can't say that everyone was. Just curious.

I said to DH from the beginning that it was either a really bad accident or totally done on purpose. The more I thought about it - it seemed planned. I mean - when was the last time anyone really talked about Janet without Michael? She's got a new CD coming out really soon that is supposed to be her sexiest effort yet. Getting the hint yet? Do you think she would sit by while everone talked about the infamous "KISS" with Brittany & Madonna?
Maybe Justin knew or maybe he didn't. He's apologized plenty of times to be left alone. This was all Janet's idea and planning if you want my opinion. She never does anything without planning it out first.

Basically - she needed press and she got what she wanted.

I think Justin was sincere and I think enough is enough! He won a very WELL DESERVED award.....

Oh and to all you parents out there if your child made a bad judgement call and was sincerely sorry for it, wouldn't you stand beside them? I know I would!

As a side note, I have often seen Justin attending award ceremonies with his mom, not just this time in an attempt to look like a nice guy.
