Sorry to say, that means nothing. When people book, like so many on here, they wind up hopping all over the place and moving ressies. Time will tell come the last week of April what the hotels will be like.

Boy, I hope not. I booked back on Feb 7 at All Star Movies for 5/7-5/12. We were at DW last year and while the other parks weren't too bad, MK got pretty crowded in the early afternoon.

What dates? Most resorts are booked for the media event on 5/5.

I would think the rooms would be full during the first week when the 50th kick off takes place and slow down to maybe a little above normal by the 3rd week or so...smjj

When I looked at Expedia, most of May looks busy at WDW resorts. There is more availability in April.

Try again, I just went to Disneyworld.com and had no trouble pulling up a Standard Room at POFQ and POR for the first week of May. I don't really trust the web sites though. So if you really want to know if rooms are available, call CRO.

I couldn't get a room at the CR that I wanted with the AP rate for the 2nd or 3rd week of May but had no trouble getting the 1st week of May. So go figure. Clearly they aren't booked up cause of that celebration on the 5th!

Don't forget...the Flower and Garden show is still going on at EPCOT in May and Disney/MGM Studios starts the Star Wars Weekends In May and runs them until early June.

The first week of May does not seem too bad but the rest of the month looks more crowded.

Keep trying....I booked last month and was trying to find a standard room for YC...I had to go all the way into May 16 to get a 6 night stay open....then when AP rates came out...EVERYTHING was available that week for all my choices but when I questioned about other dates in may nothing came up....sometimes there are glitches and cancellations that open things up.

I wouldn't trust the Disney website at all. I was trying to book CBR last AUGUST and they didn't have anything available. Called CRO and they had lots of rooms.

I called CO and know that for the week of May 14-22 they have POR and FQPOR, because I am contampleting switching from CSR to one of those, but cant decide.

There is more than one reason for this probably. The flower show, starwars weekend , the 50th celebration, and some are probably trying to get in one last trip before the summer crowds come in and the kids are out of school.

when my agent was booking us last week for pop leaving on the 2 of may, she pulled up 12 spots called me I said ok when she went to book ours not even 5 mins had passed and all the spots were no longer available. She said bookings were flying it was was crazy, luckly we got the following day .

I was trying for the 10-16th, I also called CRO and the only moderate they had was a king bed at CBR. Sad thing is when I finished typing the above post I got a call from a AAA travel agent saying sorry there was a snag in their system and the room was unavailable for those dates. So I am truly believeing that I am not meant to be at WDW that week. I wanted to avoid the 1st week due to the media, etc. Now we'll just start looking at other dates. I was just amazed though. According to the CM at CRO no standard rooms were avail at AKL or WL either for those dates. That's why I love this board though- because I know even if I get a resort I didnt want- there will plenty of friends here that will get me all excited about it!
