Well that's what I liked about living in London. It was nice and safe. But getting dangerous. More and more guns and gangs. Pretty scary.

My FIL is a firefighter in London and they were called to the scene yesterday to do an extracation of one of the people in the truck. None of them were even from London or lived in London this was well though out and pre planned well in advance.

Apparently the four were from Quebec. I work in the radiology department at LHSC and one of my colleagues was down in the trauma unit when the three were brought in. There were upwards of a dozen police officers in the area and the place was absolute mayhem. Then, to top it off, when he got home he was informed by his wife that the police chase of the getaway vehicle had gone right down his street and past his house. Just a little too close to home, so to speak...

I hear ya! I live in Paris, One hour to London, Toronto & Buffalo and 30 minutes to Kitchener, Cambridge, Hamilton and Woodstock. I would never live anywhere else. Population 10,000 and I know about 30% of them personally. Awesome place to raise a family. I did however live in London 15 years ago during my late teens/early 20's and loved it! Too bad real estate was so high ~ I may have ended up there.

Actually, you are about 15-20 minutes from me as I leave in the South-West part of kitchener where all the new construction is... I am into Ayr in about 10 minutes and to the Paris fairgrounds about 5-10 after that! Paris is Nice, but I don;t think I could leave the amenities of Kitchener... especially with the new Home Depot around the corner!

My in laws live in Port Franks about 10 minutes from the Pinery. We are from door to door of Limeridgemall about 50 minutes tops. I can't live in a small town it just isn't in me I lived in Strathroy for 6 months while my DW was on a placement there and went nuts. I want somplace larger like Toronto or MOntreal or Vancouver something like that.

I agree about being close to everything that's why I love Paris because we are so close to all the big cities. I can get to LimeRidge (THE DISNEY STORE) in 30 minutes and one hour to Buffalo & Toronto. It is great. We actually have a one acre lot and bunny rabbits living in our back yard and our taxes are $2000 per year. It's the best of both worlds....I have to admit I did love London but couldn't afford the real estate.
In my opinion anywhere in Southern Ontario is wonderful!
