Looks like ANOTHER slow spring in 2011

Easily booked a Beach club 1 bedroom for the last week of april.
There was a time where we could NEVER get a beach club 1 bedroom because there are soo few....

looks like another slow spring for disney.

We usually go the last week of April but next year we are waiting until May.
With Easter being late next year, the last two weeks of April are peak.

Last year we were able to book a Boardwalk Studio 4 months out for the last week of April.
We were surprised by that also.

I just booked BWV standard view for the end of April at the 7month window and got it. Infact every resort I check, which is most of them, was available.

I've had good luck with a couple of last minute reservations this summer. I think our fellow DVC-ers are thrifty and like to stay during the lower points seasons!

I found the same thing. I was able to book a 1BR at BCV at the 7 month mark during Spring break peak time with no problem. I was told there was plenty of availability and was very surprised by that.

, but I've had great luck with booking our usual MLK weekend trip in January. Kids get a 4 day weekend, end of 1st semester.

We've been able to book 2brs at BCV, BW view at BWV and MK view at BLT.

and I just realized that this week is Easter week. Isnt Disney usually pretty full that week. Easter comes late 2011, Its on april 24th. So another surprise
that there is so much availablilty.
Also this could be available because there are simply more DVC rooms
for us to all choose from.
I would love to have no problems in the future getting BWI or BCV
in the future....Maybe there is some reprieve, thanks to BLT?

Yes, the parks will be very full. That fact combined with it being the highest-priced season of the year are why many DVC members avoid the weeks surrounding Easter.

Expect wait times to be in the 1-2 hour range for many attractions and it's not uncommon for the Magic Kingdom to close after reaching capacity.

We are hoping to get into 2BR BCV or BWV at 7 mos in August.. I think we may be allset! Maybe people are trying out the newer resorts like BLT and AKV? Either way.. FINE WITH ME!!!

I think with Easter so late this year, many people have spring break earlier. The Easter/crowd connection may not hold true for 2011. I'll bet the crowds are spread throughout March and early April.

We had a ressie at VWL for 4/14/11-4/21/11 and when I called right on the dot at 9 am at the 7 month mark, I tried for a studio at BCV and BWV and they were booked. I was able to get a savannah view studio at Kidani so the kids are very happy. One day I would like to stay at BWV but since we usually travel during the busy times of the year and I don't like split stays, it is doubtful. One can always hope.

I called last week for Boardwalk, a Boardwalk view 2 bedroom was available during the week for 6 nights with feb 14th. I was shocked. Especially Boardwalk View. This was within 5 month window.

I managed to get a BLT MK view studio at 7months - I really didn't expect that. Maybe because it was early in April, well before the Easter weekend.

I would love to go at the end of april and cancel my Feb trip. We go every year in Feb but I just wanted to try April this year THE PLANE FARE from NY is so HIGH....sigh

We have never been to WDW for Spring Break (April) and were able to get a standard view room at the Boardwalk. It is before Easter week, so I hope the parks aren't too crazy.

We just switched from 2 studios at BLT to 2 studios at VWL at about 5.5 months out. No problem getting all the nights we wanted first try.
