Looking to purchase discount gift cards. Where?

I am looking to buy restaurant gift cards at a discount for our travels. I've looked at cardpool, ebay, Raise. However, I've seen several posts lately of cards being used after they were mailed and the purchaser ending up with no value and no help from the company. Is there a site anyone would recommend over another?

I've always had good luck with Raise whenever I got a GC that had been drained of its funds within the guaranty period. However, it's been quite a while since I've bought any GCs from them. I would not purchase restaurant GCs until right before I was prepared to use them.

Do you have a Costco or Sam's Club card? I know you can get discounted gift cards there

Also, if you have a target red card or target debit card, you can get 5%off your purchase

I buy most of my gift cards at Target, using my Red Card for 5% savings.
Sometimes, I will pick them up at BJ's, too. The savings is just a little bit less. I don't see very many gift cards at Costco, but I did just purchase $100 worth of iTunes cards there for $84.49, which was a great deal.

Just be careful. I have had issues with cards from them. Raise gives a guarantee on physical and ecards for 100 days. So use it in less than 100 days. The others cardpool and cardcash do not guarantee ecards at all as far as I know.

Costco usually has 20% off various restaurant gift cards. I'd go there

I agree- Costco has Landry (McCormick Schmick) gcs for 20% off- you can use at Rainforest and TRex, also consider joining the Landry Select Club.

I've used raise with success as well, but know others haven't been as lucky. Sounds like they have the best guarantee.

I've been very happy with Raise. I just purchased and used Lowes cards from Saveya (our dishwasher went up in smoke and with four kids we needed a replacement & it allowed us to save money on a model that wasn't "on sale"). I also like Giftcardbin and Giftcardrescue. But it should be noted that I use the gift cards IMMEDIATELY upon receipt.

I have tried to purchase from cardpool 3 times now. Each time I get a notice that due to their risk assessment, the transaction has been canceled, so they're officially off my list.

Conversly, I was wondering if there are any physical locations (other than pawn shops) that resell gift cards?

i doubt it. these internet companies have the luxury of operating without the expense of a brick and motor store. like amazon.
