I'm looking to buy a nice, but not break the bank, keyboard for Christmas. I'm looking at the Yamaha PSR-293 model. It seems pretty nice.

Does anyone have one or can you recommend one? Thanks!

You can't go wrong with the Yamaha. If you like the feel of it, I'd get it. I've got many profesional musician friends use use Yamaha keys and are very happy with them!

I haven't tried it out yet. I've been researching them on the computer. It's gotten some very good reviews.

Make sure what ever you buy has full sized keys and key sustainability (the key will continue to play and fade out like on a real piano until you lift your finger). Having the option for a foot pedal is nice too.

We have the Yamaha DGX 505. Got it at Costco for our daughter who takes piano lessons. It has a sustain pedal and the bench comes with it. We really like it.

I saw that one too, didn't read much about it though. I'll have to check into it. How much was that model if you don't mind me asking.

Just a little tidbit of info: We have a new "regional" Costco and I have noticed that they have keyboards out (maybe only for Christmas) but I have not looked at them....check Costco or Costco.com and see what they have in comparison.....
